“Let me see.”
Su Mian’s tone was low but crisp. The people in the carriage looked towards the voice and moved to the side to give her a path.
Su Mian rushed to the middle-aged woman. She first X-rayed her with her eyes to eliminate illnesses related to internal organs. Then, with her thumb, she pressed forcefully on the woman’s renzhong acupoint.
The woman felt pain and was conscious again. She looked extremely pallid and seemed disorientated as she looked around Su Mian, trying to make sense of the situation.
The people, especially the driver, sighed with relief when they saw that she was conscious. If something were to happen in his car, he would lose his job.
“Miss, are you a doctor or a nurse? You saved her so easily. We were too scared to even step forward,” a few men complimented Su Mian after witnessing her calmness and courage.
Su Mian smiled lightly; she had already thought of an excuse, “I am not a nurse nor a doctor, my father has the same illness, so I learned this method which worked.”
The others felt like that made sense.
The woman who was going to the county hugged the woman and cried when she woke up, “You scared me when you fainted, thankfully this girl saved your life.”
The woman finally understood and held Su Mian’s hand, “Thank you Miss, if it weren’t for you I might not be here anymore.”
“Madam, don’t say that, there is nothing wrong with your body, you’ve just been too anxious lately. Once you relax, it will be fine,” Su Mian checked the woman just now and there was nothing wrong with her physically. It was her mind that was causing the problem.
The woman was about 50 years old. Every family had their own problems, Su Mian didn’t know her so she could not give her more advice.
“I told you so, you’ve worried too much and it’s affecting your health. You’re over 50 years old, and not young anymore, please think about yourself and not only about your son. Since he’s already an adult, let him do whatever he wants as long as he feeds you when you’re older,” the woman beside her advised her as she helped her up. Someone then gave their seat to the woman.
The woman sighed, “What else can I do but to let him go.” She turned and asked Su Mian, “Miss, what is your name?”
“Madam, it was just a small help, don’t worry about it.”
“Of course not, you saved my life, how could I not know your name? I can’t live with myself if I can’t even name the person who saved me,” the woman said emotionally as she held Su Mian’s hand, implying that if Su Mian wouldn’t tell her then she wouldn’t let go.
“Madam, I am Su Mian.”
The driver saw that the woman had woken up and started the engine again. After a few minutes, Su Mian arrived at school. The woman thanked her profusely again before she got out.
This incident woke Su Mian up from her drowsiness. Now that she was energetic, she went straight into the school.
Wen Wen was not happy, “Since you’re fine I am going to take a walk at the entrance.”
Su Mian laughed, “So you hoped something happened to me?”
“Hmph, I was preparing to save you like a white knight, but you were completely fine,” Wen Wen spent the entire day, from the moment Su Mian left until now, feeling anxious. He kept hearing a bunch of nonsense yet didn’t see anyone provoke Su Mian, how could he be in a good mood?
He was afterall a mythical beast, he hadn’t fought anyone in a while and was aching for a fight. Last time Su Mian was in trouble, he was in the shower. Wasn’t that too much of a coincidence?
