Chapter 42 Gone crazy from wanting a wife

“Comrade Su Mian, please speak, we will definitely do as told.” If it had been a few hours ago, Wu Feng would have still been doubting Su Mian’s ability, yet now he chose to believe her, thinking that he could see some sort of military perseverance in Su Mian’s eyes.

“First, isolate all the patients. Second, bury the patients’ vomit and urine somewhere deep. Third, from now on, do not eat raw or cold food and do not drink unboiled water. All food must be cooked. Fourth, pay attention to personal hygiene and wash hands frequently.”

Wu Feng wrote them down one by one.

“Instructor, you have finally returned. Xiao Zhang’s condition has deteriorated and I am afraid he may not be able to withstand it anymore.” A young soldier ran up to Wu Feng weakly, clutching his stomach as he ran.

“Where, take me there.” After Su Mian finished speaking, she followed the soldier into the tent.

Xiao Zhang was one of the first three people to contract the disease. When Su Mian walked in, Xiao Zhang was already in a state of blurred consciousness. His arms were raised up against his eyes and he was extremely photophobic. His neck was very straight and in medical terms, it was called nuchal rigidity.

Norovirus was not usually fatal, however, there were special cases.

Su Mian immediately checked on Xiao Zhang. His condition was indeed rather serious. Su Mian gave him an intravenous infusion to prevent him from becoming further dehydrated.

Su Mian examined several other young soldiers who also had serious illnesses. They basically had the same condition, with vomiting and diarrhoea accompanied by fever and headache.

After understanding the situation, Su Mian extracted plasma from the patient, wanting to further analyse the pathogen.

After a long and busy night, it was 6am by the time all the patients had been dealt with. Su Mian walked out of the tent with Su Jin Long following behind with the medicine box on his back.

“One, two, three, four, one two three four.” Loud shouts resounded throughout the barracks.

“So amazing!” Su Jin Long’s eyes widened immediately as he saw a valiant Army unit spiritedly running in neatly at a steady pace from outside the barracks.

Wei Zhen Hui strode over to Wu Feng and the team leader, “How is it going, has the miracle doctor come?”

When he thought of Su Mian, the team leader still blushed slightly and felt embarrassed even now. “Captain, are all the girls in your hometown so pretty?”

Wei Zhen Hui was taken aback and obviously did not understand what he had meant.

Wu Feng knew what the team leader was thinking about. This kid was 22-years-old and wanted to marry a wife. He kicked his butt hard, “Brat, giving an irrelevant answer. You have gone crazy from wanting a wife!”

Several team leaders nearby also jeered. They had long heard that the miracle doctor and commander were from the same village, and they were both good-looking. The sick young soldiers who had been seen by her had practically been half cured just from seeing a beautiful miracle doctor.

Just as Wu Feng turned around, he saw Su Mian coming out of the tent. This girl had been busy from last night until now, with no time to grab a bite to eat, yet was not tired in the slightest. This willpower was not inferior to that of their soldiers.

He pointed, “That girl is the miracle doctor Su, Su Mian.”

Wei Zhen Hui looked in the direction he was pointing and saw Su Mian who was wearing a white coat.

Perhaps it was because of the cotton-padded clothes and white coat that was tightly stretched over it that made her look somewhat bulky and clumsy, yet the person inside the white coat was still a rare beauty.

With an oval face and round eyes that were clear and bright, the 18-year-old Su Mian was just like a budding peony, beautiful as the flames of a fire, beautiful enough to move people’s hearts.

Wei Zhen Hui caught his breath. He felt that the person in front of him was familiar, yet could not remember where he had seen her before.

At this moment, Su Mian had also seen Wei Zhen Hui who was a dozen metres away from her. The man was tall and straight with firm eyes, as cold and harsh as when she had met him the first time.

Tears gushed out uncontrollably and a burst of pain came from the bottom of her heart. Through the mist, Su Mian could still clearly see that the man in front of her really was Wei Zhen Hui.

Wei Zhen Hui. Right now, she saw the living Wei Zhen Hui, the Wei Zhen Hui who was within her grasp, the Wei Zhen Hui she had resented for 30 years, hated for 30 years, and loved for 30 years.

Captain Wei, I trust you are well!
