Chapter 76 Don’t Talk Nonsense

Wei Zhen Hui was not much better than Su Mian. He wanted to go home directly, but he had to deal with the restlessness that surged through his whole body, and rushed towards a certain part of his lower body.

He was  25 years-old already and naturally knew what it was.

Damn!

She just gave him a kiss and he had a response already.

There must be something wrong with him, and he had to look for a military doctor when he went back.

Wei Zhen Hui ran wildly around the village three times, drenched in sweat, before returning home.

He had never been in a relationship before, or even paid attention to any girls. Today, as a result of Su Mian’s provocation, the fire that had been accumulated for twenty five years had erupted.

Zhang Jie knew that Wei Zhen Hui was going to send Su Mian home. She wanted to scold him, but when she saw him sweating profusely, she reckoned that he probably went to the village for training before entering Su’s house.

It was said that the eldest son was handsome, sensible since he was a child, and had good academic performance. After joining the army, he performed superbly. He became a captain after a few years and was appreciated by the army leaders.

She should like her eldest son more, but she just didn’t like Wei Zhen Hui.

Wei Zhen Hui had a cold temperament and hadn’t stuck to her since he was a child. She often beat him up in anger, yet he wouldn’t cry or throw a tantrum.

But she felt that he did not resemble herself or Wei You Shan.

Even the people in the village said that Wei You Shan, a teacher who was docile, actually brought up a son to be a captain. This child must have followed his uncle’s temperament.

None of Zhang Jie’s five elder brothers were successful, all of them had wagging tongues and were not good at work.

So, who did he resemble?

When Wei Zhen Hui saw the anger in Zhang Jie’s eyes, he only faintly called “Mother.” and entered the house.

What was his attitude? How could the son that she had worked so hard to raise, do this to her?

Zhang Jie hated that she couldn’t gnash her teeth into pieces, and wanted to say a few more words.

Zhang Qing grabbed her and gave her a fierce look.

Zhang Jie was always stubborn, yet she listened to her elder sister Zhang Qing the most.

Zhang Qing received the letter about Wei Zhen Hui’s engagement on the 16th day of the first month, and asked her son to send her over to help Zhang Jie.

Zhang Qing hated iron for not becoming steel. How could she treat such a good son so cruelly?

“In the future, you must treat Zhen Hui better. No matter what you say, you carried him for ten months before he was born. It is the meat that fell from your body.”

“Don’t listen to those people in the village gossiping around. Zhen Hui is not like you two, but he is still your son. He will take care of you when you are old.”

“Why can’t you think it through? Zhen Hui is only 25 and he is already a captain, he has a bright future. You, as the mother, please don’t do anything foolish that can affect his future.”

Zhang Jie was also upset. She was credulous, she couldn’t control herself when she heard people picking on her. “Sister, I just don’t like him. When I see him, I feel that he is not my own son.”

“Don’t talk nonsense!” Zhang Qing’s words were as cold as ice, her expression was unnatural, “You don’t believe your own son, but believe in outsiders. Was your brain eaten by a pig?”

“Think about it, in these years, Zhen Hui had never had you worried about him since childhood. Not only did you fail to fulfill your duty as a mother, you also made things difficult for him. Zhen Hui is how he is today by relying entirely on his own efforts and has nothing to do with you. Let’s look at your second son, he is so spoiled that he takes drugs, gambles, engages in prostitution, and is even an alcoholic, yet you still love him with all your heart.”

“Is it that you think you can only give birth to a son like your second son?”

Zhang Qing became more and more angry as she went on. Her sister just believed too much of the gossip, and she even loved to take advantage of others. When someone said something provocative, she would believe it and take her anger out on Wei Zhen Hui when she went back.

Fortunately, Wei Zhen Hui’s temperament was tough, and he did not grow crooked under such conditions.

Zhang Jie knew that what her eldest sister said were all facts, and said nothing.

Zhang Qing saw that she had listened, and continued persuading, “Zhen Hui’s wife is quite good, not only is she quite a beauty, she even knows medical skills. Some time ago, my father-in-law’s illness was treated by her. Do me a favor, just don’t make things hard on this young lady.”
