Chapter 96 My brother misses you

Since Li Ya Jun was fine, Wei Min grabbed Su Mian and ran out of Old Li’s house.

Thinking of what had happened the last time they had come to Li Ya Jun’s house, she sighed twice, “It would be good if my eldest brother was home, so I could let him send you home!”

As soon as she mentioned that day, Su Mian’s face flushed red. She turned around and headed towards the east side of the village.

She had kissed Wei Zhen Hui that day. Although it was only a brief peck, there was still a surging feeling of something in her chest and even now when she thought about it, she still felt embarrassed.

However, she did not regret it!

She had wanted to do this a long time ago! The first time she saw him, she had thought about it.

“Hey, Su Mian, why are you leaving? I haven’t finished speaking yet!” Wei Min caught up to her from behind within two or three steps. “My brother has returned to the encampment again for the past two days.” After saying this, she tilted her head and looked at Su Mian.

Su Mian continued walking forward with a blank expression. Fortunately with the setting sun shining on her face, nobody could tell the real reason why her face was red.

Seeing that she did not have any particular reaction, Wei Min could not help but feel somewhat disappointed. She still tugged on Su Mian’s arm and asked curiously, “Don’t you miss my brother? My brother misses you though!”

Hearing that Wei Zhen Hui missed her, Su Mian’s footsteps noticeably paused, yet she adjusted quickly and walked even faster.

This girl was really still trying to tease her. Even if Wei Zhen Hui truly missed her, with his temperament, it would be impossible for Wei Min to know.

Otherwise, in her previous life, he would have explained the truth to her ages ago.

Wei Zhen Hui was a very private person. In this life, if she had not taken the initiative, he definitely would not have gone to their house to propose marriage.

Thinking about how they would be engaged the day after tomorrow, Su Mian was a little excited. In this life, Wei Zhen Hui would finally be hers!

“Su Mian, slow down, what are you walking so fast for? I have something else to tell you!”  Wei Min ran a few steps again to catch up to Su Mian.

Su Mian currently had 80 physical points and her physical fitness was many times better than in her previous life. Not to mention Wei Min’s physical fitness, even a couple of male soldiers may not have been able to catch up with her.

Hearing Wei Min say this, she slowed down and turned around to wait for her.

Wei Min bent over breathlessly, looking at her, “What are you walking so fast for? This speed can match up to my brother’s!”

Su Mian glared at her. This girl was definitely doing this deliberately, bringing up Wei Zhen Hui in every sentence.

“Alright, seriously, my father wanted me to warn you to be careful of the mayor. He is not an open-minded person. Although he restrained himself today, who knows when he will seek revenge!” Wei Min was worried about Su Mian. If it weren’t for Su Mian, she might still have become the mayor’s daughter-in-law!

Everyone in the village knew what kind of person the mayor was. Using his mayor status, he would flaunt his authority and would not allow anyone to oppose him. Su Mian had provoked him today and she was afraid her life would be difficult in the future.

Su Mian knew about Gao You Quan’s personality in her previous life. He always oppressed the villagers and she had heard that he had an affair outside of the village with a woman who raised his son for four to five years. He had been stripped of his mayor title afterwards.

At that time, Su Mian had not inquired deeply about it. Calculating the time, it would be happening around now.

Su Mian knew that Wei Min was worried about her, “Don’t worry, I am not about to become a soldier so he cannot do anything to me. We will start school tomorrow and his authority cannot reach our high school yet. We are both going to university in the future so it would be even more impossible for him to reach us.”

Wei Min’s mood suddenly brightened and she responded frivolously, “Yes!”

“How is your revision going? You are not being lazy, right?!” Su Mian raised her eyebrows.

“Don’t worry, I have been revising everyday recently from early till late. Even when my mother asked me to help prepare for yours and my brother’s engagement, I refused!” She suddenly remembered her decision, “Su Mian, I have yet to tell you. I want to enter the Military Medical University too!”

Hearing this, Su Mian’s eyes lit up, “That is great, we will be classmates in the future!”

“Forget it. Your ambition is the Second Military Medical University. I am fine with being admitted into the Provincial Military Medical University!”
