chapte 105 – energy Generation

The last few minutes for Nick were one shock after another. As he heard the Master Duelist, he very seriously once again wanted to know more about Ravia’s origin.

The Void Hunter Rat had merely shown his existence, casually said he was protecting Nick, and that was enough for the Master Duelist and its organization, or most likely its master, to apologize, rescind the contract, and even offer to destroy the enemy leaders that planned to kill Nick in the first place.

Nick understood something from these words. He did not get all the details but he could deduce a little from the talk between Ravia and the Levivating Symbol.

According to the conversation between the two, Leader Warin and the creatures he was working with had summoned and contracted the ‘Eye of Void’ to assign the ‘Space Eater – Master Duelist’ the mission to kill him.

They contracted a Space Eater because they, or at least Leader Warin, knew Epsilon was capable of teleporting. Teleportation ability implied that even if they were stronger than Nick in pure power and combat capability, they could not stop him from escaping.

Because of these reasons, they summoned the Space Eater to hunt Nick down as he could not use his teleportation abilities while facing the Space Eater. Essentially, his death would be inevitable in that case.

The Eye of Void should be an existence that was an individual or an organization, which had strong power compared to him but not enough to offend Ravia. This meant they were not overly powerful but still in a position that Nick alone could not go up against.

Facing Ravia, they were immediately ready to disband the contract which should hurt their reputation, but they did not care about it or about any other backlash from terminating the contract. They were ready to do this, just so that they would not get on bad terms with Ravia. This showed the extent of Ravia’s power and made Nick very curious.

Soon after the Master Duelist vanished, the Eye of Void also said what it had to and disappeared. The Void Hunter Rat Ravia turned to Nick and started talking.

“You always get into trouble and find yourself in situations that you cannot escape.”

Nick smiled sheepishly and admitted.

“Seems like it.”

Ravia just smiled and started talking, his black hair and eyes lighting up.

“This was only a three-time use pen that I gave you. After one more time, you would not be able to call me to save your ass.”

Having been saved twice now, Nick’s expression changed on being reminded of this, but Void Hunter Rat Ravia continued, “Unless you have something in your possession that you could offer me.”

Nick took a deep breath and revisited the events that he encountered until now.

If at the first event when he encountered the Black Cloud Manifestation of Fear, Ravia was not there, he would be killed by the creature.

In this second important event, again had Ravia not been there, he would have been killed without any means to fight back at all.

There are many things he did not yet know that always placed him in the eye of life-threatening dangers. Without enough power, fighting against the Werfurs or other magical creatures was not a sensible thing to do even if, in the end, it was a matter of fact that he needed to save humans and protect them.

Thinking this far, Nick answered.

“How may I help you?”

Ravia laughed in a good mood and started talking.

“Your power and other magical items are not useful to me for the time being. But the thing in your possession that I value the most is your knowledge and capability to create spells and items from nothing. Let’s make a deal right here and now.”

Nick did not say anything, indicating that he was listening.

Ravia nodded and clapped his hands. A statue of a sphere appeared. The sphere was blue colored and it was held by a simple thin black column. The material of both the sphere and the column was unknown. The blue sphere was radiating strong electrical energy without pausing.

After Ravia conjured the item, he started explaining.

“This is a Designated Space Energy Generator. It is a device that generates electrical energy using explosions and cracks in space to generate power. Since the device creates power from such things in space, it generates an infinite amount of electricity or energy… Well, something like that.”

Nick nodded and looked at Ravia’s eyes. Ravia understood this look and came to the point.

“I want you to inspect this device and create something similar to it. I do not expect you to create a device or spell that generates infinite energy using any indefinite amount of source. I just want you to find a way to produce energy in an efficient amount of time, without using many resources.”

“If you can do what I say, I will give you one more pen and we will be real friends after that. As you know, every pen I give consists of three chances of summoning me and you know its value by now. What do you think?”

Nick closed his eyes and inspected the gadget.

‘Designated Space Energy Generator’

‘Description’

‘Uses energy caused from space-cracks and explosions in a designated area to produce electrical energy. Theoretically, it could create an infinite amount of energy because sources like space-cracks and explosions in space are infinite and create powerful energy to produce electrical energy or any other form of energy that can be used.’

Nick understood the working principle of the gadget. His first thought was that creating something like this should not be hard. Energy creating was always important whatever power or era one lived in.

As long as Nick put his mind to it, with the use of his knowledge and magic, he could reproduce something like this. It may not necessarily be as powerful as the Designated Space Energy Generator but he could create a gadget or item that could generate energy utilizing an efficient way.
