Chapter 83 – meeting With Forest Leader

Nick understood the Void Dealer’s advice on the items in demand. He was also mindful that considering the power of Void and the power of the dealer himself, there was no reason for him to swindle Nick. If he wanted something, he could just take it without worrying about any resistance, at least any successful resistance; Nick’s current force was not enough for an opposition.

That was what power could do. If one had power, other things were just gibberish and words of the weak.

Nick took the dealer’s advice and answered.

“I would like to sell the Iron-Blood Shield spell.”

Void Dealer nodded and the book in Nick’s hands vanished. At the same time, he noticed his account was once again reflecting 180,000 Ether Stones.

Nick was happy. After three seconds, Void Dealer started talking.

“You can summon me twice every day. And every time you summon me, I will stay with you for about 30 minutes. Do you have anything else that you would like to buy or sell?”

Nick thought to himself.

“It is best that I ask about a magic wand or a weapon for myself. With a weapon, my power will increase even further.”

Nick then asked.

“I would like to see some magic wands and staff. It is best if their price is around 150,000 Ether Stones and Student Level 3.”

Void Dealer nodded and two magic staves manifested in front of Nick.

‘Three Circle Wand’

‘Level = Student Level 3’

‘Description’

‘A wand created by an organization named ‘Three Circle Mages’. It has ???? stone on the top of it and it is wood is ????’

‘Abilities’

‘30% more power in all magical spells and abilities cast’

(Price – 150,000 Ether Stones or User should talk with the Void Dealer for a different price or use a different kind of currency)

‘Sand Giant Eye Staff’

‘Level = Student Level 3’

‘Description’

‘A wand created with the eye of a Sand Giant’

‘Abilities’

‘40% more power in all magical spells and abilities cast’

‘10% less magic consumed when casting sand spells’

(Price – 200,000 Ether Stones or User should talk with the Void Dealer for a different price or use a different kind of currency)

Nick started calculating in his head. He only had 180,000 Ether Stones in hand. If he wanted to buy this wand, he needed to sell something to earn 20,000 Ether Stones more.

Nick thought a little and started talking.

“I have a spell called Life Drain. How much can you pay me for this?”

Void Dealer inspected the spellbook of Life Drain and nodded.

“180,000 Ether Stones and the Life Drain spell would get you the Sand Giant Eye staff. What do you say?”

Nick did not think and answered.

“I accept.”

With his agreement, the Ether Stones turned to zero and the Life Drain book vanished as well.

In return, the staff appeared in his hand. Even as Void Dealer had given the necessary specifications of the staves, he did not give any pictures or descriptors of the items. Only after he bought it, Nick had the chance to inspect it closely.

The Sand Giant Eye staff, 70 cm in length, was just a little bit bigger than a wand. It was brownish and yellowish colored but not sand-like yellow. On the staff’s tip, there was a yellow eye with a black pupil. It was a stone-eye but Nick knew that this was the real eye of a creature that was turned into the tip of the staff for a mage’s use.

Nick exhaled a long breath and gulped.

Using this staff, every spell he cast would be 40% more powerful and consume less magical energy. In effect, his power had now increased by 40%. It was the best combination with the Starlight Ring because, together, it would not be wrong to say that Nick’s power increased by 50%.

“It is good that my power increased but I must abide by Ravia’s words and leave this place after I meet the Forest Leader once.”

Without a second thought, Nick took off for the ‘Big Green Tree Island’. After 10 minutes of flying, he managed to arrive at the destination, where the Forest Leader lived.

Unlike the previous two occasions, he was not greeted by any attacks this time. Instead, the Forest Lady of Beast found him immediately and after exchanging a few pleasantries, Nick requested to meet with the Forest Leader.

The Forest Lady of Beast and Nick walked along a path in the forest for more than an hour before they came to a place that looked like a village. There were houses made on the top of the trees and there were different kinds of creatures living in these houses. As Nick entered the place, the creatures looked at him with interest.

Nick was happy that at the very least, they did not show any kind of evil thoughts towards him. At least, he did not feel any kind of evil intent coming from them.

The Forest Lady of Beast started talking.

“This place is called the Forest Map Place. It is both an organization and a place for people to live, as you might have already understood. It was built by the Forest Leader.”

Nick did not make any comment as he silently followed the Forest Lady of Beast. After another 30 minutes, they reached a huge tree. This tree was greener and bigger than the others. Its height was most likely around 300-400 meters, not to mention its width was impressive as well.

On the top of the tree, there was a large house made by carving the tree itself. Nick imagined that this house must be the Forest Leader’s abode.

Nick saw that the Forest Lady of Beast was about to take the staircase created on one side. However, he shook his head and started flying towards the entrance. The Forest Lady of Beast did not say anything and she too used some ability to reach the top faster than usual walking speed.

A minute later, Nick and the Forest Lady of Beast reached the top of the tree and were at the house’s entrance. Nick noticed two creatures standing and waiting at the top. They were each holding spear-like weapons.

‘Wood Spearmen’

‘Student Level 2 (Mid) & 10.0’

‘Description’

‘Creatures of wood, ancient creatures, not much knowledge known about them, they can be summoned by druids and other mages that use nature-type abilities.’
