Chapter: 41

Ank

Though we couldn’t find time to do anything together, but some groping and fingering, hey! After killing dozens and dozens of [Level: 70], [Level: 80], and [Level: 90] monsters, even Hunah and I leveled up a few times; 7 times to be more precise.

My sister did as usual and strengthened her ability with items, but found out that she unlocked a secret skill for “using a weapon with a piece whose potential was being wasted, and recognize this fact with superior proficiency with this type of weapon” called [Not-Decorative]. It, basically, turned the ornaments of a weapon usable, somehow.

… Hm? Secret skill? Why did that ring a bell? It felt familiar somehow, and not just because of the stories I heard about them… Oh, well, whatever.

On the other hand, I tried to unlock the remaining summonable weapons, even if I really wanted to learn how to summon all the new creatures I unlocked in that [Dungeon] with [Dissection]. Thankfully, as I thought, after I unlocked [Fake Sword], [Fake Hammer], [Fake Harpoon], [Fake Spear Thrower], [Fake Javelin], I managed to finally learn [Summon: Weapon], and later [Summon: Copper Weapon]. Once I told this to Hunah, she doubted that those were all the possible weapons that I could summon, and, honestly, she must have been correct, but if ever needed to learn how to summon another weapon, I guess it would automatically get added to the [Summon: some-material Weapon] spell I had at this moment.

In any case, then we stood before the very last boss room of that [Dungeon].

“Two or three more runs in this [Dungeon], or any other scoring 10 in difficulty, and won’t we be, like, super-rich?”, Nif asked staring into his bag filled to the brim with rare crafting material, tools, armors, weapons and money that we obtained from all the killing and exploring.

“Once I obtain this 90th rank, there won’t be a man who won’t want to beg to be my husband. I will have my prince!”, Napa added, nodding seriously.

“Don’t you mean strong? And, are you two planning to retire already or something?”, the blue-haired human asked concerned, but still smiling.

The two other [Party] members exchanged a look, before smiling and replying in unison:

“There’s no way we will abandon you!”

Dear Readers. Scrapers have recently been devasting our views. At this rate, the site (creativenovels .com) might...let's just hope it doesn't come to that. If you are reading on a scraper site. Please don't.

“Guys…”, Jao pretended to wipe off invisible tears.

“Hm, good”, I said, crossing my arms. “It would be problematic if you gave up on adventuring right now.”

“Why?”, Jao asked.

“Actually…”, Hunah started, pulling her hood on, and hiding her face with shadows. The trio tensed up. “Ank and I are planning to conquer the world.”

There was an instant of silence, before an awkward-looking [Party] leader replied:

“…You’re lying.”

“Kuhuhu!”, Tapa immediately started to laugh, and so hard she had to hold her belly.

“These two… Taking responsibilities!”, Nif pointed, and also burst into laughs, all of his eight eyes making an ugly mess of actual tears, differently from Jao just an instant before.

“Come on, guys”, Hunah took of the horned hood, blushing, and I looked away, trying to hide the fact that I was equally embarrassed.

“H- how can you be so sure?”, I asked back, almost angry.

“I mean… You two find it difficult to wake up soon, are always trying to convince us to sleep in the afternoon, don’t like to walk on the road…”, the blue-haired man listed at the same time he tried to not be offensive. “It’s hard to see you two wanting the trouble to be tyrants.”

…Well, yeah, Jao was right. But seeing the still laughing duo, I couldn’t help but say coldly:

“Isn’t it sad, Hunah? They were so young…”

“Yeah, to never come out of that [Dungeon]…”, my twin sister added, looking down on the fox-girl and eight-eyed man just like me.

“We’re sorry!”, the Nif and Tapa said in unison, immediately cutting off their laughing episode, and profusely bowing down. “Please, keep protecting us!”

Just as they asked for, I conjured a pair of copper ulu knives for me, and copper armor for everyone: differently from thee greenish transparent objects from before, the copper ones were at least brightly polished as some form of decoration, and they covered just a little more skin, with fewer openings. Anyway, this move alone almost halved my [MP], but it was simply absolutely needed. For we were about to face the last [Dungeon] boss.

My spell putting an end to the jokes, Hunah and I led the [Party] to the last morbid flesh wall, and the end of the 9th floor. And, with a single whip, my twin sister split open the membrane, and revealed the boss room behind it: it was the very front end of the floating snake corpse, the open mouth of the silently screaming serpent, giant fangs and teeth protruding from the gums, and forming a type of cage to serve as the arena.

The boss coiled itself the opposite end to the entrance, at the tip of the enormous split tongue.
