Froppi has discovered a dungeon ready to burst! It will cause mass mayhem to the local population and cities nearby with unknown results in the future!
Clear the dungeon!
A reward will be given after completing the dungeon.
Akira sighed as he looked back towards the werewolves and Minos warriors. Most of the werewolves looked fine as they had grown accustomed to constant fighting as they weathered years of battle during the border siege led by the demigods. But some of them were still under the silver poisoning aftereffects while the Minos were young and inexperienced and so they were rather worn out with all the fighting that had gone on.
He held up a hand to stop Rondie from saying anything more and turned to everyone else.
“Those of you who are not 100% recovered will go with Spearia and the Minos warriors to head back to the city to join back up with the main force. I need you to relay all that has happened to us and make sure that you help protect the city from any demigod trickery. I do not want anyone dying from fatigue or injuries from the previous dungeon and demigod attacks.”
“Are we really going to do this? We don’t even know if the dungeon he speaks of is real or not,” said Rondie.
“I believe there is one so Zundar, Fluffball, and I will go. If you and the other minor lycans want to join you are welcome to come or you can return to the city and help protect it.”
“YAP!” said Fluffball hurrying to stand right next to Akira ready to leave with him.
Everyone started to chat among themselves deciding what to do. Several of them did not want to go to the dungeon but with the persuasive power of Akira and sister Teresa everything was settled and after a short period of time the remaining minor lycans and werewolves that were healthy enough were the only ones left as the others had followed Spearia back to the new city.
“Are you guys done talking?” asked a worried Froppie. “Why did you split up? Are there enough of you to defeat the monsters?”
“Lead the way to this dungeon you spoke of,” said Zundar, still unsure if there was a dungeon.
‘I wonder why there are so many overflow dungeons popping up in the area. Are the monsters trying to repopulate the barren land outside with their large numbers? We are constantly hearing about new dungeons popping up everywhere.’
They spent less than an hour traveling at a fast pace before arriving on top of a hill that overlooked a long bone-dry gully below.
“Where is the dungeon?” asked Akira.
“In there!” said Froppie as he shook with fright and pointed at a large crack in the ground of the gully that was dark enough to block anyone from seeing what lay inside at this distance.
“Everyone ready?” asked Zundar.
“Ready as we’ll ever be,” said sister Teresa.
“Wait! You need to be careful! There is a giant scary beast inside! Don’t just walk in!” shouted the fretting Froppie.
“Thanks for the warning. We’ll be careful. You should stay here or return to wherever your home is,” said Akira.
Akira and Zundar led from the front flanked by the other Minor lycan melee fighters. Fluffball and the ranged fighters followed behind them as they all walked down the hill as quietly as they could and approached the edge of the large dark crack in the gully.
“Yap,” said a quiet Fluffball as he picked up the strong scent of an unknown monster.
“I hear its breathing,” said Akira as he strained his ears to listen to the faint breathing of the large monster that sounded like wind passing through the rocky walls of the gully.
“How are we supposed to get down there?” asked Sweety.
Akira looked around but found no stairs, ramp, or ladder to reach the dark floor of the crack in the ground. What he did see were large ledges that descended down into the darkness looking like steps for giants.
“We’ll have to jump or lower ourselves down from each ledge…” said Akira after some thought.
“That’s going to be a real pain…” said Sweety as she joined the others in jumping down to the first ledge.
As quiet as they could be they continued down the ledges jumping down to the next ledges that had short distances while hanging down and dropping from the ledges with large distances.

You have entered the lair of the guardian [Heldogeboe].
About halfway down a notification popped up for Akira.
The closer to the floor of the dark crack, the louder the breathing of the monster became.
“Sniff… Sniff…” The calm breathing was interrupted by the sound of loud sniffing of the air.
Akira and the others all stopped moving and held their breath as they stood on the last ledge before reaching the floor.
In the darkness two large golden eyes opened and looked in their direction… a second and third pair of large golden eyes opened and stared in their direction. A golden flame flickered out from their eyes, lighting up their faces even more as a puff of gray smoke rose out of the sides of their large furry mouths.
“Grrrrr!” the low growl reverberated off the walls as the three pairs of yellow eyes rose up into the sky as the [Heldogeboe] stood up.
“We’ve been found out! No use in hiding anymore. Everyone get off this ledge now or we’ll be sitting ducks trapped here,” said Akira as he pulled out a lamp and opened its shutters banishing the darkness like the sun rising and vanquishing the night allowing them to see where to jump down.
As Akira landed on the solid ground he quickly checked the area around him and found that it was rather smooth and spacious, mainly made out of nothing but hard stone a few sand piles had formed but for the most part there were little to no places to hide.
Some distance away from them stood the giant three-headed [Heldogeboe] covered in thick black fur. Around its large neck was a huge collar that had massive linked chains hanging down from it.
Akira followed two of the chains down from the collar and saw that they were just dragging on the floor and were not attached to anything. Whatever it had been chained to before was a mystery as it had broken free. He tried to use his heightened sense of smell, hearing, and eyesight to search for any other hiding monsters but found nothing other than the large [Heldogeboe].
“Why is that thing chained here? Did it escape from the dungeon?” asked Akira.
Fwoooosh!
A large but not all that strong fireball was sent their way and exploded into a bright yellow wave of fire only a short distance from where they were standing.
“Looks like there is no other choice but to fight it,” said Zundar.
“Go!” was all Akira said as he and Zundar rushed forward to deal with the close-range combat while the others dealt damage from the rear with their skills and ranged attacks.
SWISH!
“OOF!” Both Akira and Zundar were surprised by the swift swipe of the [Heldogeboe’s] large paw that knocked them off their feet and sent them flying back into the stone wall behind them.
“Lord! Are you all right?” asked a worried Dolph.
“I’m fine…” grunted Akira as he stood back up and wiped a trickle of blood from his mouth.
On their next foray forward both Zundar and Akira dodged the fireballs as they rushed forward and quickly came to a stop short of the [Heldogeboe’s] paw attack range.
BAM! The [Heldogeboe’s] three heads slammed into the ground just short of where Akira was standing as they tried to bite him in half. As its three heads rose back up they jerked forward snapping at Akira only to be yanked back by the sound of metallic chains being pulled taunt.
Akira did not see it before but there was a third set of chains that was still connected to the collar and a huge metal ring not far behind the large [Heldogeboe].
“Everyone see this range? Don’t get closer to it than this!” shouted Akira warning everyone behind him.
Crowbahr stepped forward and launched several fire attacks toward the large heads of the [Heldogeboe] but the skill attacks did little to no damage and did not even bother the [Heldogeboe] whose attention was on Akira and Zundar.
Its attention jerked to look at Fluffball as he gathered a large ice attack and spat it out at the [Heldogeboe]. The attack slammed into the middle head covering it with a thin layer of ice for a few seconds before fire from the left and right heads melted it.
“GRRRRR!” The angry [Heldogeboe] sent several fireballs from each of its three heads all aimed at Fluffball in their anger.
“RAWR!” Growled Fluffball taunting the chained [Heldogeboe].
“Zundar, everyone else… do it like we planned,” growled Akira.
Akira Rushed forward followed by Zundar while Fluffball continued to rain ice attacks on them.
The left large paw swiped out to swat away Akira who twirled around the paw dodging the attack and continued rushing forward. The three large heads let out a few growls deciding on what to do.
The right and center heads continued to focus on sending fireballs at Fluffball and the others behind Akira while the large head on the left shot out with its sharp teeth descending to take a large bite out of Akira.
BAM! Its head slammed into the stone floor causing large cracks and rubble to appear from the force of its attack.
Unfortunately for the [Heldogeboe], Akira had jumped into the air out of the range of the attack at the last second and landed nimbly onto the left head of the [Heldogeboe] which was now shaking back and forth trying to clear its vision that was spinning from the impact with the stone floor.
The two other heads growled and turned their attention to Akira snapping at him with their sharp teeth trying to bite him and pull him off of the left head.
BAM!
Ice shards, wind skills, and several arrows and throwing spears peppered the two heads pelting their faces and hindering their attacks allowing Akira to climb to a spot out of the view of the three heads.
Zundar had been waiting just out of the attack range for a moment like this and rushed in grabbing onto one of the loose chains and yanked it down with all his might!
BAM!
With a large force that shook the ground the [Heldogeboe’s] body fell to the ground as the chain connected to their neck was pulled down by Zundar.
Akira stood up and activated [Sword Slash] several times Sending them directly into the neck of the [Heldogeboe’s] left head he was standing on.
“Aggrrooooo!”
A pained vibrating howl shook the air and ground and their bodies as the attacks cut deep. But Akira did not lose focus and continued to launch attack after attack ignoring the two other heads that had risen off the ground and were trying to bite him.
Bam! Zundar yanked again and forced the head to slam back into the ground unable to attack Akira who had to pause his attack to stay standing.
Like this he and Zundar worked together to hinder the [Heldogeboe’s] attacks along with several ice, wind, and other ranged attacks slamming into the three heads causing large amounts of blood to splash onto the stone floor.

Critical hit! You have severed a head of the [Heldogeboe]!
Two more to go!
Akira fell to the ground along with the severed head as he did so he jumped into the air grabbed onto the second loose chain and slid down to the ground. He grabbed hold of a large portion of the chain and with Zundar’s help, they tossed it back up onto the back of the [Heldogeboe] who was howling in pain from the loss of one of its heads.
Akira jumped back up onto the back of the [Heldogeboe] which in its pain and anger turned the two remaining heads to try and bite him.
Akira did not stay up there long as he grabbed onto the chain and tossed it over the side and quickly rolled away dodging the attacks that slammed into its own back wounding itself.
Zundar had taken a large portion of the first loose chain and tossed it up to Akira from the opposite side of the second chain. Akira grabbed it and once again yanked it over and tossed it back to the ground for Zundar to continue throwing the two chains up to him a few more times while Akira was forced to dodge the constant snapping of the two large mouths that were frothing and snarling in frustrated anger as they tried to snap him in half.
Before they knew what was happening Akira jumped off their backs and pulled down on the second chain as he descended. On the opposite side, Zundar pulled down on the first chain with his full strength.
A large paw swiped out aimed at Akira but missed as he rolled forward still holding onto the chain as he rolled up onto his feet and began pulling the chain tight along with Zundar.
The whole time this was happening the skill and ranged attacks continued to smash into the [Heldogeboe’s] two heads.
With the great force of both Akira and Zundar pulling in opposite directions the chains that were wrapped around its neck started to tighten and slammed the two heads together, dazing them as well as slowly taking away the room for them to breathe!
“Hurry! Help them!” Shouted Beater as he rushed forward and grabbed onto the chain with Akira and added his strength to pull the chain.
The remaining melee fighters all rushed forward to help Zundar and Akira pull the chains taunt until….Ding!

You have killed the [Heldogeboe]!
You have leveled up!
…
You are now Level 225!
Breathing heavily after exerting so much strength, Akira looked around and saw a wooden chest and key had appeared next to a floating portal.
“Is that it?” asked Zundar.
“I think so,” said Akira as he looked around but found no other exits or stairs leading anywhere.
“The way Froppie was talking made it sound worse than it really was. It’s true that if that monster got loose it could destroy several villages and towns killing thousands before anything could be done… But that has to be one of the shortest dungeons we have competed in a while,” said Zundar.
After catching his breath Akira walked over to the chest and unlocked it only to find around a hundred gold and a book that turned to dust when he tried to pick it up…
“What the heck? Lately, the rewards for these dungeons have been horrible…” said Beater as he saw the book turn to dust.
“What do you expect with such a quick battle,” said Akira as he tried to figure out what this new feeling was that was now nagging him.
Sister Teresa walked over and spoke up, “It’s going to be a real challenge to try and climb back up out of here. Should we just use the portal?”
Akira scanned the large ledges that led up the stone walls and had to agree that they would spend a large amount of energy and time trying to climb back up. It was pointless to do that when they could just exit using the portal and be able to head back to the city faster than they were expecting.
“We do that. The faster we can get out and back to the city the better,” said Akira.
“Yap,” said Fluffball in agreement as he sat down on Akira’s foot.
With a quick poke of his sword at the portal the entire group was engulfed in light and transported out of the dark crevice in the ground…

You have entered Mell’s mansion!
Immediately Akira realized what had been wrong with the previous situation!
There was no system message for completing the dungeon!
“Heheheh!” The light and fluttery sound of a little girl’s laughter reached Akira’s ears along with the sound of a child’s small running footsteps.
“Did someone come to play with me!?” asked a sweet voice echoing through the entire mansion.
