Xu Jinping’s first day without her husband

“Jinping! Jinping! Quickly get over here!” A loud boisterous voice sounded throughout the entire house.

Sluggishly, Jinping blearily woke up and started rubbing her eyes. With a demure voice, she called out, “Who is it?”

Expecting to hear the pleasant sound of her husband’s doting voice who would usually allow her to have a couple more minutes of precious shut-eye, Jinping was rudely awoken by the same crude woman from earlier who kept yelling her name.

Groaning, Jinping rolled over on the bed before vaguely recalling something that her husband had told her about last night.

“Dear, I’m going back to the military barracks for a while to help strategise for the upcoming war. Please stay and look after my family for me.” Ye Shao Jin had firmly instructed her, with pliant eyes that seemed to contrast the harshness of whatever he said earlier.

At the time, Xu Jinping had took what he said with a grain of salt, and hurriedly burst into crocodile tears.

“Okay, husband! Please be safe at the military base, I’ll always be thinking of you,” Jinping sobbed as tears filled her eyes quickly.

Witnessing the softening of her husband’s eyes and the gentle arms that gradually moved to encase her, Jinping was more than pleased with her husband’s attitude of giving her love and care. However, she knew that she had to take this opportunity to firmly establish herself as Ye Shao Jin’s wife and not someone who could be easily pushed around and led by the nose.

Reciprocating her husband’s hug and gently clutching the fabric at her husband’s back, Xu Jinping let out a few distressed sounds and asked, “Dear, when will you be coming back? I want to count the days until you return to me.”

Elated by her words and intent of faithfully waiting for his return, Ye Shao Jin excitedly informed her about his plans to return within the next half a year, if possible.

Hearing this, Xu Jinping had a loud jump. She was beyond worried, both for herself and her husband’s sake. She wondered how on earth she would be able to deal with the other people in her husband’s home – such as her meddlesome mother-in-law and sister-in-laws, alongside the other neighbors they had. She also worried about Ye Jin Shao’s health more and more.

Thoughts of becoming an wedded bachelor, a divorcee not by choice, ran rampant in her mind such that she eventually became reluctant for Ye Shao Jin to leave her. Hugging him harder whenever she felt that he wanted to separate, Xu Jinping nuzzled her face into his chest for the last time before fully releasing him from her grip.

Taking the silence between them as an opportunity for her to speak, Xu Jinping reminded Ye Jin Shao, “Don’t forget to take your meals on time, and sleep on time. Don’t worry too much about others and care for yourself too, okay? When you come back, I’ll always be here waiting for you.”

Xu Jinping then ended off her little speech with a cute quirk of her lips, before giving a light butterfly kiss on Ye Shao Jin’s cheek, sending off a very cute message of “Husband, I’ll be waiting for you~”.

Blushing, Ye Shao Jin found himself chasing after the lips of Xu Jinping and grabbed her arms, pinning her against the wall.

“Xu Jinping, don’t you know what you’re doing to me?” Ye Shao Jin groaned out, gently raining kisses on her neck, willing the strain in his pants to go down.

Xu Jinping giggled, witnessing her husband’s cheek gradually darkening and his hard-on pressed up right against her thigh. However, she knew that she did not have much opportunity to be with her husband physically ever since their wedding night, since her husband was technically the son of the village chief and had been encumbered and enbroiled within the various affairs of the state.

Knowing that her husband was so desperate for her, it gave Xu Jinping some form of relief. Knowing that Ye Shao Jin still found her attractive and that she was a catch for him had left her feeling absolutely satisfied and fulfilled. However, it was at the same time that a fellow soldier had showed up at their front doors and began hurrying Ye Shao Jin, their general.

“General Ye! Please come quick to strategic meeting room 3! The boss and Li Jiawen are all waiting for you!” he yelled out, feeling goosebumps from the way Ye Shao Jin had previously glared at him.

Dropping his facade of the gentlemen he was to Xu Jinping, he scowled and scratched his head in frustration.

“Fine fine! I’m coming already, just wait a bit more”

At the time, the couple separated with a chaste kiss and Ye Shao Jin had quickly departed with whatever minimal equipment he carried with him in his bag.

He did not even have the time to bid his mother and half-sister away, as he was only given an hour to go home and pack up his luggage. That drove them absolutely insane, however Xu Jinping was more than satisfied. After all, the duo had never treated her as if she had been part of their family. Simply providing her food every few days, it was one of the reasons why she had remained with such a small frame. However, to the family, it had been her privilege that they had decided to adopt her when she was younger. Despite how she wanted to come and buy skincare without feeling that her mum was poking at her insecurities wherever she went, she was not able to truly leave their grasp, however it does seem that she’s doing great right now.

Hearing the knocking sounds of her room escalate in volume, she hurriedly got out from the mini-cocoon (aka her blanket) and simply held her breath asking the question, “Mother-in-law! What can I help you with?” Xu Jinping smiled a chaste smile and casually slid herself out of the room slowly.

Wearing a simple blanket over her body, Xu Jinping moaned and groaned with every step away from the machines.
