Fragments of the Creed

I had been drifting through the endless void. The vast expanse—where I consumed stars, planets, entire galaxies, and black holes, one after another, indiscriminately. Their gravity collapsed into mine, their essence drawn into my abyss without resistance.

With every black hole consumed, I gained something beyond mere mass or strength. What I gained was—knowledge. Fragments of understanding—insights into something far beyond my grasp, slowly being reclaimed.

This power had a name—Singularity Creed.

Bit by bit, I uncovered its truths—glimpses of its vast nature, the sheer scale of its potential for destruction. But far too disappointingly, what I had uncovered so far was too minuscule as compared to the full depth of the Creed.

The Creed followed no singular law. It was unbound, unrestricted—beyond a single function. It was not merely a force of consumption. It was something far more expansive, something undefined, something limitless.

It was like reaching into the unknown, never certain of what I might pull from the abyss. Each revelation reshaped my understanding of what the Creed might be, only for another to shatter it entirely. Each time I thought I had grasped its nature, it shifted, revealing yet another layer beyond my comprehension.

To fully understand this power—to grasp its true breadth—meant to unravel the very foundation of the cosmos itself. It was that vast and incomprehensible.

It was beyond assessment. Beyond limits. Beyond definition.

So, I stopped trying to define it. I ceased searching for its boundaries, ceased attempting to measure its potential. Perhaps it was beyond such things—beyond structure, beyond logic.

Instead, my thoughts turned elsewhere.

Questions.

Questions that I had been thinking for far too long.

Why had the System not found me? How had I remained hidden for this long? The System was vast, intertwined with the very fabric of existence itself, and yet it had failed to locate me.

And more importantly—what was the entity that had concealed me?

Something powerful enough to cast a veil over the System itself. Something beyond even its reach.

And yet, it had never reached out. Not even once.

I had consumed stars, galaxies, entire singularities—devouring celestial bodies with no hesitation. And yet the entity that had interfered with the System had not reached out to me all this time, not once.

Why?

Had there been a drawback? A consequence of sorts?

I did not know.

But what I did know was this—the System would not remain oblivious to my location forever.

It was nothing short of a miracle that it had failed to locate me for so long. But that luck would not last.

It would find me soon.

And I had no intention of waiting until it did.

Too many unknowns. Too many questions left unanswered.

Only one certainty remained—I had to consume.

And I had to do it fast.
