TAEHYUNG’S POV:
It’s been a week since Jeongukk had disappeared. I had finally decided to tell him that I had fallen for him. That I wanted him at least try loving me if he could. Together with Jin hyung and Jimin, I went to his place where he stayed. But sadly, we found the house locked. We even tried asking the neighbours if they knew anything, but nobody knew.
“We saw his mother last evening, when she was back from buying groceries. I even helped her take it upto the door as the bag was heavy. And Jeongukk, he was at home only. He was the one who took it in. But as to where they have gone, or when they left, I have no idea. I am sorry. Wish I knew.” Said the woman who lived next door.
“It’s alright. Thank you.” Jin hyung thanked her and we went back to the hotel.
“Hyung, where did you think he’s gone? Where and why did they leave without telling anyone? What do you think must have happened? Hyung, you are close to him, did he tell you anything or say anything that might give us a clue as to what might have happened?” I asked Jin hyung, but he shook his head.
I was about to cry. Tears were welling up in my eyes. Jimin saw me and patted my back to comfort me.
“Taehyungie, don’t worry, he should be fine. He will be back. We are his best friends. It’s not possible that he wouldn’t tell us where he’s going, or leave without telling us. Forget us, at least Jin hyung. He was the closest to him.” Jimin tried to comfort me.
I agreed to him and got back to my studies. Even though I couldn’t concentrate, I tried studying. After all, Jeongukk worked so hard to make notes for me and Jimin.
Days passed and we began with our exams. A week and 2 days later, we even finished our exams. there was still no news of Jeongukk. Worst part was, even after being together for so months, neither of us had his contact number, nor his mother’s.
It was only after a month that our school teacher said that Jeongukk had dropped out of school. And as for the reason, He didn’t give one. After the class, I tried to ask my teacher about the number from which he called, but he said..
“Jeongukk didn’t call, it was his mother. And she called on the landline. Sorry Taehyung.”
“It’s okay sir. At least I know he dropped out of school.” I said.
Later that evening I told Jimin and Jin hyung about it. They were same as shocked as me to hear he dropped out.
School was over. We would finally go to college. And we also started to make preparations for our group debut. Our group, was named BTS. We started training everyday. And as days, months passed, the thought of Jeongukk started to sink deep down in the back of my mind. I never stopped looking out for him or trying to get any possible information on him. Just that I let everything in fate’s hands, but that didn’t mean I gave up on him. I never did and I would never do. I know one thing, and that is I loved him. And I still do…
