Chapter 1091 The Youngest Major

“Who are you trying to impress?” The Major General glanced at the Major, who gave him headaches but was also his most excellent one. After lifting his hand and taking a look at the time, he said: “You can depart now; there’s no need for you to come over personally when an emergency happens. If there’s something you need to take care of comes up abruptly, as long as it doesn’t go against the regulations, you are given full authority to deal with it as the captain of your squad.”

Because he came over to look for Ye Jian, no matter how anxious Xia Jinyuan was, he cannot leave the unit because of private affairs. He and Pigeon were giving special training for a regiment unit, and there were some boundaries in between that he couldn’t overstep. Only after asking the Major General for permission did he come over for work.

He was only allowed slightly more than half a day’s time. He arrived at 8 a.m. and was leaving at 4 p.m.

The original plan was to leave at 4 p.m., but the Major General had ordered him to leave before it was even 4 p.m.

Soldiers must obey all orders. When the general orders, the soldiers obey, Xia Jinyuan saluted the Major General, “Sir, yes, Sir!”

With a concise “Sir, yes, Sir,” he didn’t say anything unnecessary and immediately agreed to carry out his orders!”

He turned towards Principal Chen and said: “Uncle Chen, I’ll come to see you when I have a vacation.”

He turned towards Ye Jian and gave her an extremely ordinary smile and a nod; then, he left the command tent with wide strides.

“The youngest Major in the military, Ye Jian, you two have worked together before. Quite an excellent soldier, Ye Jian, if you have the opportunity in the future, you can get some advice from him.” The Major General waited until Xia Jinyuan left before he started praising the soldier under his command. He then quickly turned towards Principal Chen: “Old Chen, Ye Jian can stay here with me; you can leave together with Major Xia on the helicopter.”

“Leave her in my hands; you can be very relaxed. The jade has already been polished nicely, and I’ll polish it rounder and smoother. I definitely wouldn’t allow your efforts to go to waste.”

Training with the military unit, moreover, in the armored vehicle unit, Principal Chen could only wish for that. He hurriedly replied: “Leaving her with the military makes me most relaxed, training her is also because she wants to render her service to the country and the people. Now that she can train alongside the armored vehicle unit, this is only because the military values her.”

The Major General did not disagree with that and nodded his head in front of Ye Jian: “That’s indeed so. As long as she manages to get into any military academy in the country, we will start her three and a half years of intensive training,… Oh right, Major Xia was also the same; he started his three and a half years of intensive training when he entered a military academy. Ye Jian would also be the same.”

Hearing that, no matter how calm Ye Jian was, her emotions started to surge, and she was having trouble controlling herself.

Undergoing the same three and a half year training as Captain Xia, that’s such a good thing that she could only wish for!

Then she heard the Major General continue: “Now that you’re here, you’ll have to adjust quickly. Our armored vehicle soldiers know more than just driving armored vehicles; there’s plenty more that they needed to know, seven days isn’t a long time, but I hope that you will learn much here.”

Covertly, Ye Jian figured out something wasn’t quite right, as if he was trying to clue her in on something.

She’s a newcomer here; even if he were really hinting something, she wouldn’t be able to figure out what it is before she understood the situation. However, since she had that feeling, it’s better to keep an eye out.

When the Major General noticed a pondering look flashing past her eyes, the smile on his face deepened.

Promising talents are different. From a sentence that seemed unintentional, she immediately noticed the abnormality within those words. Just by such a trivial matter, he realized how detailed Ye Jian’s thoughts were.

In the afternoon, Principal Chen and Major Xia left together; Ye Jian only sent them off to a small distance away from the helicopter. Hearing the sounds coming from the rotors, she said towards Xia Jinyuan: “This year, my wish will come true. Captain Xia, I’m one large step closer to my goals.”
