All the team members agreed with this point. The military would certainly not only pull small tricks in such a complex environment. What was written in the plan was just some small tricks; the big ones were not included.
The eyes of the water ghosts of the Storm Commando were shining brightly. This was their closest, longest, and most extended training session ever. The more demanding the conditions, environment, and projects, the more they could discover their shortcomings, and the more they could improve themselves for battles!
“Yeah! I can’t wait for the military department’s big trick! It would be boring if they only play small tricks!” Big Whale smiled, showing his teeth. His white teeth were particularly contrasting on his dark face. Big and fierce, they looked like beast’s teeth.
The rest of the water ghost nodded one after another. All of them were already eager to enter the training.
The two teams were divided into four groups. In every four groups, the members were divided into groups of two so that once any task required two people to act, they could alternate back and forth.
Ye Jian naturally followed Li Jinnian’s team. Her army boots stepped on the Gobi gravel and approached the awe-inspiring and desolate place, against the dry cold wind.
This was a monotonous place. The sky was blue, but the ground was gray. Those remnant hills and low ridges that stood in between the sky and the earth were constantly “corroded” by the wind all year round. Stepping into the area, Ye Jian couldn’t help slowing down.
Leaning slightly, she and Li Jinnian, who were advancing with their guns, exchanged positions, one going to the front while the other covering the back. They gestured to tell the team behind that they could pass quickly.
Their team was responsible for searching a safe route to find out what was waiting ahead. They had already entered the Gobi for two hours. From 10:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. now, they found nothing.
However, the more this went on, the more everyone felt worried. Behind those low ridges, there seemed to be countless eyes staring at them; no matter where they went, those eyes followed them like a shadow.
There was a faint smell in the clean snow breeze, and Ye Jian’s eyes suddenly flickered. She made a “spread” gesture, and the team members behind her spread out instantly.
“Woof, woof, woof!” Dog barking sounds were heard, and then several army dogs rushed towards them violently, dust on their limbs.
They were charging from the front!
There were a total of twelve military dogs. After running to the spot where the teams were before they spread out, the dogs lowered their heads and sniffed around with their noses. Two military dogs were so excited that they were even wagging their tails, and then they dashed sideways.
“Upon seeing this, the soldier in charge of caring for those two army dogs immediately reported: “Found a target!”
“Okay, keep an eye on the target! See how far and how long they can run!” A very stern voice came from his wireless communication. It was the Army Major General who had long arrived at the Gobi.
Soon, the remaining ten military dogs also found their target and began to scatter around, tracking their target with all their strength.
Ye Jian and Li Jinnian ran very fast. They needed to get rid of the army dog as soon as possible. They kept their distance far to let the wind blow away their odor so the dogs couldn’t sense them.
With their brand-new equipment, the soldiers could run away very fast without being affected by the combat equipment.
“We’ve been discovered! Brothers, you guys go first!” The voices of the members of the Elite Platoon sounded in the headset. They were discovered by another group of military dogs. “Every military dog has a code number. The one chasing us is number 24, ****, don’t tell me that means this is the 24th dog!”
If it was really true, then the military department was so cruel, they actually one-shot sent out so many army dogs to chase them!
