The merriment and celebrations lasted for over five hours and with its end, also came the time for Nick to bid adieu to the Night Eagles Tribe. After walking a short distance, he teleported himself close to the Grey Spirit Ancient Pyramid. The stone-made pyramid had piqued Nick’s interest and he did not want to delay inspecting it any further. He exerted caution and instead of attempting to enter, he teleported to every corner of the pyramid’s exterior to check it from all sides.
He also tried using his magical energy to engulf the pyramid but that did not work at all. The pyramid appeared to be under protection from magical energy. He then summoned an Anubite and ordered it to enter the pyramid.
Within five seconds, however, he lost connection with the summoned Anubite and then noticed that it was destroyed by an energy force.
This discovery reiterated that there was no situation, in which Nick himself could enter the pyramid at this point. He took a deep breath and began assessing his next steps.
“What was used or done to protect this pyramid? I cannot understand it with my current ability or knowledge. It seems it is time to create a new spell.”
Nick wanted to create a spell before moving on from his expedition to this new realm and island. He thought now was as good a time as any.
His current spells could be classified into four broad categories.

‘Portal Teleportation: Movement Type Spell – Escape Spell – Life-Saving Spell’
‘Wave Radar: Exploration Type Spell – Environment Spell’
‘Summon Anubite: Summoning Type Spell – Support Close-Combat Spell’
Nick was keen to add an area-damage spell after his fight with the Deep Water Organization at the Underbroom Cave. He decided it was time to create one now. In comparison to using the Sonic Bullet spell several times, it made tremendous sense to use a single spell that could kill all surrounding enemies.
Essentially, what he needed was a bomb-type spell. If he were to encounter a horde-kind enemy that was weaker individually but stronger in numbers, at present, his only recourse was to teleport away, which was not the best way to confront any situation. Nick took a deep breath.
“Creating a bomb-type spell is the best option. I can create a basic bomb without any problem. But I need a stronger spell and not just a hand-grenade spell.”
Nick did not create a spell directly but conducted a little test. He pointed at a flat stone ground, and a wisp of white energy shot from his finger to the ground.
As the white energy hit the ground, a five-meter shockwave exploded in the shape of a circle, leaving a fog of dust in its wake.
“This was a shockwave-type of attack. The bomb did not create any explosive or heat energy but only a pure shockwave. This kind of a spell was weaker against buildings and solid materials but stronger against living beings.”
Nick did not even need to create a spell for something like this; his magical energy was enough. Creating a spell was more complex but it would undoubtedly be much more powerful. Right now, he needed to test a little so that he had an idea of what ‘knowledge’ to use for this spell.
“Hmmmmm…”
Nick hummed and then once again pointed his finger at the ground. A wisp of energy shot towards the ground immediately but this time, it was not pure white. Instead, there were small filings of metal (iron) infused in the energy.
The energy spell hit the ground and created a shockwave. The bits of iron shot out penetrating the solid rocks.
These iron fragments were not as strong as the Sonic Bullets but they were capable of killing most creatures with ease.
“This is a fragmentation-type of a bomb spell. The killing power comes from the parts and pieces of solid material like iron. After the explosion occurs, the energy propels the bits of iron and solid material around, and the power of kinetic energy behind them harms the living beings. This spell has no power against buildings. It can be used to kill humans and other living beings that have flesh and blood.”
Nick needed an all-round area damage spell. It seemed like using a pure ‘shockwave’ or ‘fragmentation’ type spell was not going to serve his purpose.
After thinking for some time, Nick finally had his ‘aha’ moment. He laughed a little as he understood what he needed to create for an area-damage spell.
Nick got hold of a pen and paper from his space-ring and started writing. He already knew the effect of this spell because of the knowledge he had. Hence, he did not need any further testing.

In practice, the blast wave typically produced by such a weapon is of a significantly longer duration than that produced by a conventional condensed explosive.
The fuel-air explosive is one of the best-known types of thermobaric weapon.
‘Knowledge 2’
In contrast to a condensed explosive in which oxidation in a confined region produces a blast front emanating from a single source, a thermobaric flame front accelerates to a large volume, which produces pressure fronts both within the mixture of fuel and oxidant and then in the surrounding air.

Nick smiled as he nodded.
He decided on the Thermobaric Explosion because these kinds of explosive bombs are created using two components—a strong wave and pressure to kill all humans and livings beings with ease and enough wave and blast power to destroy buildings.
At the same time, a strong and high-temperature heat-wave for more killing and power. It uses ‘heat’ and ‘shockwave’ to kill enemies. Just as Nick wanted in the first place, the power of the bomb would be strong with the ability to kill enemies as well as destroy strong iron and stone buildings.
Compared to fragmentation and pure-wave bombs, this was the most efficient way. If it was needed in the future, Nick believed that he could create an atomic or a hydrogen bomb spell as well. Right now though, he knew that even if he had the imagination and the power, he did have enough magical energy to create something like that.
Most likely he would not be ready unless he had reached level 20 and more.
