As the purification happened, KMega6KMegacharacter read the messages he received. He expected the quest to a degree, but the dragon blood message was completely unexpected. He then thought that Astrid7Astridcharacter would be happy to see him like a dragon again, but his purification plan bore unexpected fruit. He then had to put up the demon beast subjugation/tutorial video because he was in the ward for a full IRL day. It was his plan to use this to get all of his stat penalties removed instead of having to wait several more weeks for it to be over, so it was an unexpected reward to have all of his permanent stats he lost during the tournament restored.

The first thing that KMega did when he was freed was catch a happy Astrid in his arms.
“That was really stupid, my man.” (Astrid)
KMega smiled at her as her lips met his. As her boyfriend for a while now, they have shown public signs of affection such as kissing on occasion, but this was the first with such passion. KMega didn’t know what it was, but his urges slightly came back. He refrained from his impulses and turned to what the bishop had to say. The bishop had only heard about the dragon girl, so he was rather intrigued by her sudden appearance and the affection she showed KMega. It wasn’t any of his business right now though.
“Noble hero, what trial did you expect to achieve by exposing yourself to the demon energy for over a weeks time?” (Bishop)
KMega had already thought about his answer in case someone asked.
“I had been containing the aura of the demon ever since I vanquished it, and I couldn’t safely do it alone. Since I decided that there was a rather large risk, I had them send over you since I didn’t think that the two people here were enough. When demons are involved, it’s better to be prepared.” (KMega)
The bishop thought about KMega’s words. Naturally, KMega’s plan wasn’t exactly the safest, but it allowed the bishop to look at the demon beast to be certain it was one.
The other two didn’t know what prayer he used, it was wise to take the risky path to keep further problems from happening down the road.
“Very well, noble hero. The reward was worth the risk this time, but the unneeded risk may open the door to further risk down the road as well.” (Bishop)
There was then a pause, so KMega took the opportunity to speak.
“Might I suggest the church start examining the materials that adventurers bring into their habitats? It will be a tedious task, but knowing about human greed and ignorance, it may be wise to be sure that no demon is used in something and open doors to our doom.” (KMega)
The bishop was surprised at the suggestion. KMega’s suggestion would double the church’s workload, but it wasn’t without it’s merits.
After thinking about it, the bishop turned to the priest of the village.
