Chapter 4:The Wolf Vs. The Lynx

On Saturday and Sunday, you can expect to have some leisure time for relaxation and fun activities. Perhaps you can continue playing games, explore new hobbies, spend time with friends or family, or engage in outdoor activities to unwind and recharge for the upcoming week.

Skipping ahead to Monday:

“YEEEAAAAHHHH, I FINALLY BEAT THE FIRST BOSS!” I exclaimed in excitement. After assessing the casualties, I noted that twenty-four T-Rex and two Gigantosaurs were still alive. Sadly, three T-Rex had perished. I retrieved items from the inventory of the fallen T-Rex and returned to the base. Glancing at the time, it was 7:38 am, signaling the start of another school day.

I grabbed my backpack, took my ID, and hurried to school. After showing my ID to the guard, I proceeded to my classroom. As I entered, a familiar scene unfolded—a dispute at the back of the room between my friend Bawayan from the Shadow Unit Squad and Kyle from the Avengers squad. They shared similar body types and physique, and we all knew how these conflicts typically played out.

“Yow, Mateo!” I heard Elyzer call my name. “How’s the progress?” he inquired. He showed me his phone, revealing eighteen tamed Raptors, two new Diplodocus, and one Brontosaurus. Impressed by his rapid progress over two days, I suspected he had successfully mated the Raptors and hatched their eggs. I shared some tips and tricks for managing his new dinosaurs.

During lunchtime, all members of the Shadow Unit Squad gathered at a secluded spot to eat and offer support to Bawayan. Some attempted to inquire about Benjo, hoping to understand the recurring auras and lions, but to no avail.

Mark, Elyzer, and I joined the group, despite not being official squad members. While eating, I stumbled upon an article about favorite animals and their meanings. “Hey, Bawayan, what is your favorite animal?” I asked. “Wolf, why?” he responded. I shared the article’s insight: if your favorite animal is a wolf, you may be spiritual, wise, mysterious, loyal, wild, playful, protective, and value family and friendship. Additionally, wolves are known for their powerful jaw and strength in packs.

Intrigued, Bawayan examined my phone to confirm the information. He returned the phone, feeling empowered by the connection to his favorite animal. It was a whimsical moment, considering the significance of such beliefs. I then explored information about the enemies of wolves, focusing on the Lynx.

Lynx are adept hunters, stealthy and nearly invisible. They possess exceptional hearing and eyesight, capable of spotting a mouse from 250 feet away. Before I could delve deeper into the topic, the bell rang, signaling the end of the break, prompting us to rush back to our classroom.

Following dismissal, we headed straight to the Battalion Ground to witness the fight. The referee from The Elite Squad announced the two fighters, and we wished Bawayan luck as he faced off against Kyle.

“3…2…1… FIGHT!”
