After Zhuang Nai Nai left, Ding Mengya cannot bring herself to sleep.
She stares at the ceiling, frowning when she remembers that look on Zhuang Nai Nai’s face. She gets up and walks out of her room, heading downstairs. She knocks on the housekeeper’s door.
The housekeeper is a very light sleeper. When he hears the knock on his door, he gets up to see who it is. When he sees Ding Mengya on the doorway, his eyes flashes a little. He flushes a little when he looks at his own pajama. He respectfully greets her, “Madam.”
Ding Mengya nods, “I have something to say to you.”
“Please wait for a moment, madam.”
She walks over to the balcony next to the housekeeper’s room. There are two chairs there, she sits in one of them.
Beijing is surprisingly clear tonight. She can see a couple of stars in the sky.
After a while, the housekeeper makes his way to her after changing into his work uniform, “Yes, madam?”
Ding Mengya points at the other seat. Once the housekeeper sits down, she shares with him the conversation she had with Zhuang Nai Nai earlier. She sighs heavily, “I feel like this child is full of thorn right now. Even her voice contains so much hatred. Look out for them, don’t let her hurt Zheng Ting again.”
The housekeeper nods.
Ding Mengya continues speaking, “It has been years, Zheng Ting didn’t break the engagement with the Gu Family because he didn’t want to marry other people. Gu De Shou is a very greedy person. He suddenly found his daughter? If it was any other woman, Zheng Ting wouldn’t have paid him any attention. But that daughter just had to Zhuang Nai Nai. I don’t think this is just a coincidence.”
The housekeeper is frozen, “Madam, you mean……”

Ding Mengya’s expression suddenly turns desolate. She stares into the night sky before saying, “Because if Zheng Ting knows the real reason behind their breakup, he will be even sadder.”
The housekeeper sighs when he hears that.
The atmosphere between them turns heavy. After a while, Ding Mengya stands up and pats the housekeeper in the shoulder with a huge smile, “Alright old Li, I will leave this daunting task to you.”
The housekeeper helplessly nods, “I understand, madam.”
“En, if you do well, I will buy you an air doll!”

Zhuang Nai Nai cannot sleep after she returns to her room.
Everything that happened five years ago flashes in her mind.
She should thank Ding Mengya for helping her realize what hardship means, for teaching her how pathetic rich people are.
A ridiculing smile is formed at the corner of her lips. She sighs before turning restlessly.
