Wow, this novel is unexpectedly good. The weird picture and synopsis really keep me away from this gem for months. So glad I check this one out. I’ve read countless stories on this site to the point where I just cannot read mediocre stories anymore. I lose interest quickly. I only have about 2 stories that I follow regularly now. So you can imagine how happy I was when I found this story.It’s a 4.3+ rating story for sure. A great combination of the trademark Chinese humor as well as a healthy dose of drama. The MC is a simple man who abides by his set of morals. If you’re looking for a ruthless and opportunistic MC this isn’t the right story. But if you’re looking for a story you can get a good laugh out of and read the occasional touching scenes then I would highly recommend this story. -lament, 16 March 2019
