Gu Xing Shan swallows the words that she is about to say. She sneers, “Who told you to betray brother-in-law, you are the one who stole the drafts! If you did not steal it, what was it that you gave to dad? Don’t tell me you casually came up with some lame designs to screw dad over!”
With those sentences, Gu De Shou’s fury immediately dies down. He turns to look at Zhuang Nai Nai.
Gu Xing Shan sure is good at changing the topic.
Unfortunately, she is very much inferior to Zhuang Nai Nai when it comes to war of words.
Zhuang Nai Nai stares her down, “If the designs are bad, do you think the chief designer would be able to derive a more polished draft from them? Can you even hear yourself, Gu Xing Shan?”
Gu De Shou looks at them thoughtfully.
Gu Xing Shan is anxious now, “You—-“
“’You’ what? Just be honest, Gu Xing Shan. You thought that if I hadn’t been around, you’d be the one married to Si Zheng Ting, right now. But did you even know that the plagiarism issue blew up yesterday and that there was a board of director’s meeting convened in regards to the issue. He was originally willing to suppress the news, he trusted me. But then, you ran to the manor and kicked up a huge fuss! What is it that you really want?”
Zhuang Nai Nai turns to Gu De Shou, “Are you planning to send him your second daughter if he and I ends up divorcing? What do you take Si Zheng Ting for? He would never even look at her!”
Gu Xing Shan’s entire soul seems to collapse when she hears those direct yet poisonous words. She is after all young and does not know how to conceal her emotions. “What are you saying, you s*ut! I was supposed to be the one to marry him! You are a speck of dirt from the slums, what right do you have to stand next to Mr. Si!” spat Gu Xing Shan. Her face is contorted in pure hatred.
Gu De Shou who is angry enough to begin with, immediately flips, “You keep your mouth shut!” He gets up from the couch and approaches Gu Xing Shan, “You unfilial child! Will you only be happy once Gu Enterprise is declared bankrupt!” He raises his hand towards Gu Xing Shan.
Gu Xing Shan jumps up and hides behind Li Yu Feng, “Help me, mom!”
Li Yu Feng looks at Gu De Shou defensively, “What are you doing? Xing Shan is still young, she is bound to make mistakes! If she does, speak to her properly instead of raising your hand!”
Gu De Shou’s hand is trembling in his fury, “What am I doing? Didn’t you hear what your daughter did? Move aside! This is all your fault for spoiling her too much! If I don’t teach her a lesson today, I will be guilty to Qing Yan!”
Li Yu Feng is anxious now. “Fine! You want to hit her, hit me first! You want to hit her so much, huh? Go on!” she points at her own face.
Gu De Shou is furious at both of them. He tightens his fist as he looks at her stubborn face. In the end, he lowers his hand in defeat.
Gu Xing Shan sobs loudly, “You cannot hit mom! You don’t want me and mom anymore?”
Li Yu Feng turns around to face Gu Xing Shan at that. She hugs her daughter while tears stream down her cheeks, “I think you just don’t want to see me and Xing Shan anymore. I bet we are the obstacles keeping you away from that bit*ch. You just want me to go. Fine, I will leave!”
