At first, Fukurin charged at Yuu without waiting for him to respond, sweeping across with his sword. Fortunately, Yuu responded quickly, and narrowly escaped by jumping backwards.
“Hmph, not bad! But can you dodge this?” Fukurin’s sword sliced down from above but Yuu immediately resisted his attack with his rod.
“Oh my God! Just in time!”
Yuu thought to himself, ‘I must distance myself from him.’ He used the iron rod to hold up Fukurin’s sword, and slid sideways, pulling the end of the iron rod away.
“Oh.” Takamaru looked nervous.
“Hmph, you actually have some skill!” Yuu remained crouched with one hand on the ground and the other holding the iron rod behind him.
“Um… it should be like this… No, it’s like this?” Yuu was mumbling to himself and doing some sort of move with his iron rod, ignoring Fukurin completely. Fukurin felt disregarded.
Seeing this situation, Takamaru who was on the stage, Kaoru couldn’t help laughing a little, but she managed to endure it.
“Hey asshole! How dare you ignore me?!” Fukurin shouted impatiently, prompting Yuu to slowly look up at him.
“Come on! Make your move then!” Fukurin pointed his sword at Yuu’s face. Yuu felt that there was no need to waste any more time, so he began to attack Fukurin, using ordinary techniques with his rod to dodge, block and attack. His simple attacks made Fukurin impatient.
“Hey! Why are you so slow?” asked Fukurin.
“Hmm… you’re right. Mr. Fukurin, may I try something?” Yuu asked as he held onto his iron rod.
“Hmph, whatever!” He said impatiently. Takamaru sat up straight in her seat to see what moves Yuu would make.
Yuu picked up his iron rod, held it in both hands, moved into position, and rushed towards Fukurin. Without waiting for Fukurin’s reaction, he attacked him on the shoulder, then spun the rod and hit Fukurin in the leg, making the latter unsteady.
“Ah!” Fukurin fell to the ground. Yuu pointed the end of the rod at Fukurin’s head.
“The match is over!” The director said, “The winner is Morishita.”
The crowd couldn’t believe that someone had defeated the most ferocious person in the academy.
Yuu put the iron rod back in place and walked on stage with Akamatsu.
“Since the both of you are from the same class, we will ask Takamaru to choose one of you.” The director then invited Takamaru to the stage. Yuu had an ominous premonition.
“You.” Takamaru pointed at Yuu.
“I want you to be my servant. Actually, not so much a servant, but rather a butler.” Takamaru added.
Yuu sighed. “I refuse.”
“…” The entire auditorium fell to pin drop silence (⊙_⊙).
“Why?” asked Takamaru.
‘Why…’
“Well, when we’re at school, I think we could be friends.” Yuu folded his arms.
“Hmm, what you said is also reasonable. What about in the dormitory?” Takamaru also folded her arms.
‘Friend?’ That’s the first time someone has said that to me.
“When we’re in the dormitory, I guess being your butler isn’t a problem. Wait, what if we’re outside?” The two had completely forgotten about this problem.
“Well, you can be my butler when we’re outside.”
“No, no, no. I think I should be your friend.” Yuu corrected Takamaru.
“Butler.”
“Friend.”
“Butler!”
“Friend!”
The two were at loggerheads, so the director intervened to make a suggestion.
“What about… when you’re out, Takamaru will indicate if Morishita is her butler or her friend?”
“Hmm…” Takamaru and Yuu looked at each other and agreed. “That is a good proposal.”
“Then, the two have reached an agreement. The election is officially over!!” The audience applauded warmly.
‘Ah! I forget to exchange phone numbers with him!’ cried Takamaru in her heart.
