Chapter 25: School Festival (Part 2)

“Yuu, we have customers. Please give us a hand.” Akamatsu walked to the coffee bar to call Yuu.

I’m coming.” Yuu put down the stuff in his hands and went to the door.

“Hello, table for?” Yuu asked a male customer.

“Two, thank you.” The boy replied.

“Yes, this way please.” Yuu took the boy to a window seat. He put down the menu and went back to the coffee bar.

“Ah, you’re here.” The boy called out to a girl headed his way. “What would you like to drink?”

“Milk tea!” She said happily. He pressed the button and Yuu walked over.

“What would you like to drink?” He asked.

“A latte and a milk tea,” said the boy.

“Sure. Would you like to try today’s special for the milk tea?” Yuu took back the menu and asked.

“Today’s special?” The girl looked at him.

“Mhmm, today is our school festival and also a cultural festival, so we have prepared milk teas from other countries. What would you like?” Yuu introduced them one by one.

“Um… do you have any English ones?” She asked.

“We do.”

“Then I’ll have an English milk tea!”

“Coming right up.” Yuu turned to the coffee bar to start preparing their drinks.

“Yuu, do we have milk tea?” Hearing their conversation, Yukisaku asked out of curiosity.

“It’s my specialty.” Yuu winked and placed a finger on his lips, gesturing for him not to tell anyone.

After a while, Yuu carried a latte and a milk tea over.

“Your latte and milk tea is here.” Yuu placed them on the table.

“Thank you.” The two customers said at the same time.

“Ooh, nice move!” Akamatsu gave Yuu a thumbs up.

“It’s your turn next. Akamatsu will be responsible for teaching you all.”

“Yes sir!” The others saluted.

‘You don’t have to do that, do you?’ Yuu thought -_-| |.

“Welcome!” Shirasawa greeted the customers enthusiastically.

“Here’s your water.” Nagano placed a glass of water on the table.

“…” Everyone else was busy, only Takamaru was standing there.

“Oh? Chiya, why aren’t you doing anything?” Yuu asked as soon as he noticed her.

“Can.. can I help you?” Takamaru turned away from Yuu, as if she didn’t want to be seen by him.

“Um, okay then. You can help me clean the cups.” He didn’t know what was the matter, so he could only let her.

“Yukisaku, Ushi is asking for your help.” Dressed in a white chef uniform, Haruyama appeared at the door.

“I’m coming!” Yukisaku followed him into the kitchen.

“What would you like to order?” Akamatsu asked the customers.

“A plate of sandwiches please.”

“Coming right up,” said Akamatsu before walking away.

Gradually, the classroom was almost filled with customers. Yuu and others started to get really busy.

“Yuu, um… who taught you to make coffee?” Takamaru asked as she stood beside him wiping the cups.

“My father. I’ll make you a cup of milk tea later.”

“Why?” Takamaru looked at him, somewhat puzzled, but Yuu didn’t answer.

Finally, it was break time. The students of Class X rested on their chairs.

“Ah, I’m so tired.” Yukisaku didn’t even have the strength to stand up.

“Your drinks are here.” Yuu carried a serving plate with many cups on it.

“Akamatsu’s milk, Nagano’s mocha, Yukisaku’s warm water, Shirasawa’s English milk tea and Tomoe’s three-color dessert.” Yuu placed their drinks on the table and they all thanked him.

“Here’s your milk tea, Chiko.” Yuu handed Chiko a glass of triple layer milk tea.

“…Thank you,” said Takamaru.
