Karas immediately thought of some things, it’s actually better to have other powers to survive along with him, especially if they are in a close relationship with them.
Since Roan is already close to him, adopted him even, he has no problem with them, but for the Aquisor Family, he currently has no ties with them.
Forlan smiled at Karas’s remark: “You praise us too much, but that was a reputation from long ago, I don’t really know how much they are faring now.”
Forlan immediately sent hints to Karas after noticing the latter’s eyes.
Karas couldn’t help but smile, Forlan immediately cut off any chance of ties to form between Roan’s company and the Aquisor family through him.
Karas immediately changed the subject, deciding to push it at a later time: “You said that you own an auction house, isn’t that right?”
Forlan nodded his head: “Yes.”
Karas followed up: “Where is it? I would like to visit it sometimes, you know, with the beasts out there in the open, it’s not bad to have a few things for protection.”
Every city is divided by a vast mass of savaged lands, separating it from the others, with the cities closest to each other separated by over a hundred kilometers apart. The beast that Karas was referring to were actually normal ones, not the evolved ones.
There are monsters like massive dune worms, twenty feet crocodiles, and more.
Of course, there are also forests, whenever there is a river or close to the ocean, mountains and forests are available, and the problem of acquiring one is really great. Especially the ones that are under extreme care.
Each mountain is like a treasure trove, and to buy one, Roan would definitely spend more than ten million gis.
Forlan immediately shook his head: “It’s mostly auctioning for antique lovers, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something useful.”
Karas nodded his head in agreement before replying: “Yes, but then, I actually have a few things that I found from the ruins as well.”
He stood up and smiled: “Let me get it.”
Forlan nodded his head and started sipping on the tea again.
As Karas entered the mansion, he started browsing through the system’s shop, he needs to find something good to have Forlan’s interest.
He looked at his inventory, and other than the Frozen Hound’s core, there is nothing else noteworthy: “Well, the chest may attract their attention?”
Karas decided to use the chest as well, but he kept browsing through the store.
But then again, for some reason, he couldn’t find any ancient-looking things, more like futuristic ones instead.
He then went to consumables, his eyes slightly furrowed: “This is quite a handful.”

Karas’s eyes grew wide: “Isn’t these kinds of things mere superstitious beliefs?”
There were people saying that placing this will bring good luck and stuff, of course, he was one of those that believed such things before. But for all of the times he had tried, there were none that brought any effects!
“Wait…” Karas forgot something, it was an amulet that a girl gave him from his previous life.
‘It’ll bring you good luck, so please always keep it with you!’ It was a child between the age of 8 to 10, she gave Karas one lucky charm, saying that it’ll bring luck with life, safety, and health.
Well, for a virgin that he was, for the first time, someone of the opposite sex gave something to him, hence, he kept it like it’s a really rare treasure.
But the next week after that, they were kicked out of the camp.
He cursed the amulet saying what kind of luck it was, but to his own miserable self, he couldn’t even throw it down at the ground.
He started searching for other things immediately.

Karas’s eyes widened in complete shock due to the sheer price of the item: “A hundred thousand points… two hundred thousand gis for a sachet?”
But after pondering about it for a while, Karas felt that it’s actually cheap, if he leveled, he can only get 0.3 attribute points, but what’s the maximum number of luck? He thought about it, and guessed that it would at least be 100, he decided that it’ll be that for now and immediately bought the sachet and equipped it on his wrist.
After he bought it though, the sachet was completely removed: “So, there is a limit to how many items there are in this system’s store?”
Then, he kept searching for things, and right, he actually saw some things.

He then thought for a bit: “This… does that mean that it can increase the price of the tea if I add this as well?”
Smiling, he just bought it and searched for a few more things.
After not finding anything in the consumables, he went to the decoration part, there, he found four worthwhile items that may be of value to antique collectors.

All in all, it’s the four sacred beasts crafted in vases to form an exquisite design. Karas couldn’t help but think of something: ‘Are these things… from the east?’
But after a while, he shook his head and just returned to Forlan with his newly bought items. He let four of his servants carry each of the vases.
Karas sat on his seat again: “These, do you think it’s worth it?”
As soon as the vases were placed together on top of the table, Forlan’s eyes widened in shock.
Not because of how wonderful the craftsmanship of it, but by how the temperature changed drastically.
Forlan started to touch the vases one by one, as carefully as he can.
After a while, he took his inspection glasses and started inspecting them: “The lines are almost gone, although it’s spotless from being cleaned, the signs of aging can be clearly seen, especially on this dragon’s scales and teeth.”
“If I’m not wrong, these vases could basically be around six hundred to a thousand-year-old.”
“But…” Forlan frowned, a few seconds of contemplating before he continued: “I’ve never heard of a kingdom that had such heritage nor designs.”
“See this thing, If I’m not wrong, this is a dragon, but the dragon here is like a snake, long and fierce.”
“The ones we’ve known are quite different.”
Hearing this, Karas didn’t hesitate and nodded his head: “Yes, I agree to that.”
Forlan smiled: “I don’t know which civilization it belongs to, but the mystery may help it.”
He looked at Karas and asked: “Where did you get it?”
Karas replied: “It’s on my way home, I found a waterfall after having my tour sabotaged by a group of bandits, I hid in this waterfall which has a cave behind it, there, I found these few things.”
Forlan didn’t know if he should believe Karas, after all, a person not even beyond twenty years old finding two ruins? It’s almost impossible, but if Karas is to say nothing about it, he couldn’t really force the other party to say anything either.
And even if he knew, it’s almost certain that there will be no more treasures left.
Karas smiled: “Well, I was alone then, it was a military mission, so, when I got ambushed, I was left with only my body hence I could only bring out what I could carry.”
Hearing this, Forlan’s brows immediately widened, right, Orphans are given missions, mostly recon and scouting. Karas had just been adopted by Roan, and since that mission is from the military, they have no way to confirm it.
The military has a clear line between citizens, they can’t form any ties with the citizens, and all of their operations are a secret.
Karas then smiled: “Well, since I’m not part of the military, I’m planning to go there and retrieve the rest on my own, I just hope that it’s beneficial to me.”
Forlan’s hands trembled as he grew agitated: “That, maybe we can discuss something about it?”
“Hmm?” Karas pretended to be confused, but deep inside, he’s smiling ear to ear, like ‘he took the bait’ kind of feeling.
