Episode 31 – Assasination at the Royal Palace 1 ‘Lo Louu!’

‘This boy definitely knows something…’ Eugene glared at Louis, who did not stop holding both her and Euria even after arriving at the Imperial waiting chamber.
“Ah.” “Hey!” Eugene attempted to speak. ‘What does it matter if he knows something?’
Louis heard Eugene mumbling something, and looked down towards Eugene whose face was directly below him.
“Lo..Lou.” Eugene wanted to scare him, so attempted to say his name. In the process of just being able to utter out the first syllable of his name, she ended up shocking more than 1 person.
“…” (Louis)
“Oh MY!! Is Eldest young Miss trying to say Eldest young master’s name?” Aeselak excitedly said! She knew it!
‘Eldest young miss did know the youngest miss’ name! And she has been calling her as well!’ She excitedly held Aernest closer to her chest to contain her jolliness! As expected of the Veria family! Everyone is a genius in their own way!
“… That’s impossible”
Louis stared at Eugene with a long contemplating look before his face slowly cracked into a small smirk. There were many reasons why he reacted this way but the way Eugene took it was that he 100% knows she was able to understand what people say. There was no chance he knew that she was not from this world as she never did anything suspiciously other than responding sometimes. The only confusion she had was Louis denying Aeselak’s earlier words.
‘….So this is what you know!’
“Lou–s” She once again attempted to better say his name. This time, she slowly spoke out letter by letter so that she could be more precise!
“I think she is Eldest young master” Aedelak agreed with her sister’s statement and chipped in.
“Hmm…” This time not denying nor acknowledging, he, in a spur of the moment poked Eugeneia on her forehead with his index finger. He tapped and poke, only ceasing when a red mark was left behind.
“Hee?” ‘What are you doing!’
Glancing back and forth at Eugeneia and Louis, she pouted in annoyance. From Euria’s perspective, she only saw that her sister was being bullied! Not to mention, her sister’s forehead had a mark left behind! From her previous experience with getting stung by a bee and having a mark left behind, she presumed Eugene must be in pain!
‘Red means Pain!’
Sulking while using her baby brain to find a way to counterattack Louis’s bullying, she thought of what would annoy Eugeneia the most! In a flash, she tilted her head towards Louis’ finger that was still in air, and leaped towards it with great strength. Using her big mouth, she nibbled on it with as much force as she could put on.
Nibble suck REPEAT!
“…..”
Although Louis expected resistance, he did not expect Euria to cover up for Eugeneia. Glancing down to his youngest sibling, he almost broke character when he saw her facial expression.
‘Truly wrinkly’
Astonished, he did not try to break his finger free from her wild mouth even though he has high standards for cleanliness.
Although Eugeneia being special was something he has known since interacting with her on a daily basis, he never thought of Euria being Eugeneia’s kind. Euria is the social one of the lot, and Eugeneia is the quiet one. The quiet Eugeneia’s occasional reactions were always shocking hence why she completely overshadowed Euria. But that thinking might be wrong. Euria’s clinginess to only Eugeneia since birth, and now, taking revenge because he left a print on Eugeneia’s forehead. Would a regular infant be able to comprehend this?
“Alright, alright, I get it, you can stop now.” Louis used a soft tone to speak with Euria. Lightly exhaling he put the two sisters on his lap and used one hand to pat Euria to soothe her anger.
Reluctantly letting go of his finger that was now bright red and drenched in clear saliva, she silently went back to holding Eugeneia’s body. Not taking back her eyes on him, and carefully watching him clean his finger with a handkerchief. Her action portrays her protective nature for her sister, and not being silent if her sister gets hurt.
“L..Loui” Eugeneia didn’t feel nor did she mind being poked, started calling out his name again. This time to practice her pronunciation and not for the sake of shocking him. When she gets back to the estate, she will add practicing saying names to her list of things she must do! Practice makes perfect!
“Elder Brother! Tha… That’s really not fair!” Ramon pouted while looking at his rival older brother in unease. Why is life not fair! He was always the one playing with the twins while his brother only reads and ignores the outside world. So how come… Why was Eugeneia saying his brother’s name first?!
“Lo… Lo?”
A soft voice spoke out in the midst of Ramon complaining to his brother. An unexpected voice from someone unexpected. It was the voice of the infant next to Eugeneia! The one and only Euria!
“??!” (Louis, Ramon)
“Oh my!” (Aedelak, Aeselak)
Looking like she did not understand why people were surprised by frowning, and then switching up to a happy sparkly face, she clapped her hands! People being surprised was something she liked!
“Loou Loo! Hehee!” Euria once again repeated what Eugeneia said while happily projecting her baby laugh and her wide empty mouth!
“Whha… whaatt Brother!” Ramon’s heart that already broke into many pieces, now felt like crushed powder substance. His heart totally disappeared! First Eugeneia now… even Euria chose his brother instead of him!
“Haa…. What am I going to do with the both of you”
Shaking his head, he whispered while exhaling in a long sign. Unexpectedly things on top of unexpected things. Really.. What was he going to do with the 2 of them…
“Nia!Ria! Call me brother as well!!”Ramon desperately pleaded while getting down on his knees! His entire face was already covered in sweat from desperation.
“Lou! Hee hee! Naii”
Euria giggled at the sudden movement coming from Ramon. And not knowing whether she understood his point or not, she only happily said the first word Ramon motioned her to say ignoring everything else!
“Riaa!” Ramon wanted to cry his heart out! What was this feeling of being completely ignored and let out of the group!
“Ramon, calm down” Louis sternly warned as if Ramon’s sufferings had nothing to do with him.
“… Yes. Brother” ‘Brother is mean’ Ramon answered back despite feeling very wronged!
Meanwhile….
Eugeneia laughed at both of the boys. She silently glanced back and forth between Louis and Ramon. Euria being able to say Louis’ name was not at all special. In fact, Euria’s first word has always been her, Eugeneia. When people disperse during the night, only then would the two of them practice saying the name Eugeneia.
