Another row of people now had arrows penetrated through their body.
Soldiers heard some noise of people. The noise was getting louder and was surrounding them. Tramps surrounded them from every direction. The handful of soldiers got scared to find out there were thousands of invaders seizing the village.
It was the same group of headless people who had ambushed a village where Roderick had been to first, to get heads. Soldiers could do nothing against them.
Each and almost every soldier was killed. Only soldiers were harmed. Villagers were untouched..
They did not even touch villagers because they already had heads now. Roderick was about to be attacked by a soldier. He ran to search for a sword but could not find any. Instead, he picked up the small bag hung on the saddle.
It was heavy.
He smashed it on the soldier’s head and spilled his brain out.
A head dropped from the sack. The army paused and looked at Roderick. Then they knelt on the wet soil.
“Please don’t kneel. You don’t have to.” Roderick said in the embarrassment. He felt more embarrassed when he realized they were kneeling to Headless.
“Maybe your head is with the King.” Roderick held a head in his hands.
HOW DO WE GET IN THE PALACE? Headless asked.
One was about to behead a remaining soldier. “Please don’t kill me! I will give you a way to get in the castle.”
“How?” Roderick asked.
“King is injured and sick. He wanted new doctors. Some doctors are coming in palace tonight. They may still be on the way. Find them and make use of them.” Solider answered.
“Where do you think the doctors are now?”
“They are coming from Three Hills. They had sent raven saying they had left for palace yesterday.”
“Does it mean anything?” Roderick asked.
“This means they will be passing from roundabout ahead of this village very soon.” Soldier said.
