Roderick sets in West 12

While Gonzalez was yelling in pain, Sheriff put countless rounds of bullets in his heart and head with his automatic rifle. Without his pistol, only thing Gonzalez did was taking the fires on his body before collapsing at last.
“Why did you rewind the time?” Sheriff asked after he was done.
“Because I discovered what is possible.” Roderick smiled down at him.
The sparrow pecked him after reaching near him.
“Does this stupid sparrow have a nest here?” Roderick started swinging his arms to hit the bird.
“Roderick, look around!” Sheriff yelled.
Juan was standing there along with him. Before Roderick and Sheriff could react, Juan pushed him off the tower.
As he hit the ground, he couldn’t feel anything below his neck. His head was ringing with a metallic sound and he lay on sand more perplexed than ever. Soon he felt something warm oozing out of his scalp.
Blood.
The sparrow pecked Juan and sat on the second hand. Its weight slid the hand by two seconds.
Soon, Roderick was up there and Juan stood beside him.
“Roderick, look around!” Sheriff yelled. This time, with no disturbance by the bird, he caught Juan and shoved him down.
As soon as he fell, Roderick caught the hovering sparrow, “Gotcha.” He squeezed the bird till it exploded from its abdomen.
“Stubborn bird.” Roderick dropped the mess down.
Then he descended.
“You shouldn’t have killed this sparrow.” Sheriff said.
“Next time, make sure you make animals and birds vow as well.” Roderick said and put a bullet in his captive’s skull.
Roderick began to walk after making his pistol light.
“Where are you going?” Sheriff asked.
“To sleep.”
“How will you?”
Roderick took out a small bottle of whiskey from his pocket, “Some stolen liquor will help me, I guess.”
He drank it till he finished the last drop. He didn’t even take a breath while drinking it. Roderick dropped the empty bottle and walked with unstable feet.
Sheriff saw him going behind the tower somehow. Soon he heard Roderick falling down.
Sheriff ran to there to check on him. But Roderick wasn’t there anymore.
