Chapter 182 Will Not Forgive

A plum blossom appeared in between Su Mian’s eyebrows, sinking in quietly afterwards. Wen Wen then jumped down from Su Mian and scared Da Hua and Xiao Hua who both hid behind Su Mian.

Su Mian still did not know of the battle between the few of them. She only thought that when Wen Wen jumped down, his movements were too big and had scared Da Hua and Xiao Hua.

“Take it lightly, you are so big, be careful not to step on them!” Su Mian stooped over and patted Da Hua and Xiao Hua on the head before leaving.

Wen Wen lifted the restrictions and Da Hua immediately pointed at Wen Wen, “How can there be a beast like you who deceives their master to enter a contract with yourself? You really are shameless!”

Xiao Hua added to this, “Exactly. Once Su Mian knows, she will definitely not forgive you!”

“She will not suffer, I’m the one who will suffer!” Wen Wen was triumphant. The contract had already taken effect anyway and he had truly found a treasure this time. Wen Wen was in a good mood and was too lazy to care about Da Hua. He waved his long arms and the ground that had just become ravaged by thunder was restored to its former appearance.

The next morning was self-study for English and it was the first time Su Mian would lead the reading.

Dear Readers. Scrapers have recently been devasting our views. At this rate, the site (creativenovels .com) might...let's just hope it doesn't come to that. If you are reading on a scraper site. Please don't.

Su Mian arrived at the classroom early and glanced through the text that she would be leading the reading for today. There were two new words and Su Mian was secretly happy. Fortunately, she had discovered it early otherwise, she would really be a joke in a moment.

At this time, there were no phonetic transcripts for English so it depended purely on rote memorisation to remember the pronunciation and meaning.

Sun Ying came in and saw Su Mian flipping to the back of the book for a while, then to the front for a while. Clearly, there was a word she did not know.

She sneered coldly, her heart despising her. She had snatched something out of her hands. Did she really think that with her skills, she could hold onto it?

Walking up to her seat, Sun Ying did not sit down, but pointed at the boys in the last few rows, “Listen to me later. If anyone dares to read with her, I’ll teach you a lesson after class!”

As soon as they heard this, the boys got goosebumps. In fact, it was nothing new, just Miss Sun’s constant personal rebuking. They were long used to it. As long as she was unhappy, she would find fault with them.

The bell rang and Su Mian walked from her seat to the podium, “Everyone please open to page 56. We will read this text aloud today.”

In theory, Su Mian would read one sentence and everyone else would repeat it.

Su Mian read a sentence and only a few girls repeated it. In the huge classroom, it looked particularly ridiculous and pitiful.

Sun Ying laid down on the table and laughed secretly. Su Mian, who cares how well you read, no one is willing to repeat after you!

Su Mian did not care, it was obvious that someone was messing with her. She just needed to do her part and read the text well.

Su Mian read another paragraph and the number of girls who repeated after her grew from a few to a dozen. Not to mention that they were all girls reading, it felt like they were reading poetry. Su Mian’s accent was originally standard and with her mellow voice adding to this, rising and falling in cadence, people could not help but be drawn into the story.

The few mischievous boys at the back were also fascinated.

“Am I going crazy? How come I feel like I can understand what they are reading?”

“Me too, me too, it’s like I can actually understand it!”

“Is this really English? Seriously, it sounds so good. I’m going to take out my book, I will find the feeling too!”

Su Mian herself was immersed in the story she was reading out loud. The more she read, the more emotional she became and the more infectious it was.

More and more people opened their books and started to follow the readings. The voices changed from being just the girls reading and the voices gradually became equally girls and boys, then finally, the boys voices became the main sound with the girls being secondary.

Who wouldn’t be able to accept good things?!
