Chapter 4: Liked Her All His Life

“Su Hong, you’re despicable…”

Su Mian never imagined Su Hong to be so malicious.

She was her cousin, yet she pushed Jiang Yi to her despite knowing his illness.

Su Mian had always treated her as a relative. Even after Su Hong married Wei Zhen Hui, she had never hated her.

“I’m despicable? Just who made me like this?”

“It’s you! Su Mian, if only you did not exist, then Wei Zhen Hui and I would have lived a happy life.” Su Hong shouted hysterically and slapped Su Mian on the face.

Su Mian gasped for air, unable to say anything else.

Her tragic fate was all caused by Su Hong.

Su Mian’s tragic appearance coincidentally stirred up Su Hong’s memories. She stroked Su Mian’s face with her well-maintained hands and looked at her with a warm gaze, “My dear cousin, whenever Wei Zhen Hui thought about you, he would lock himself in his study room and stare at the photo of you that was taken 30 years ago. He would stay there all night just looking at it!”

“Although I was married to him, he was never mine! Sl*t, it’s all because of you!”

Slap, slap.

After Su Hong spoke, her expression changed and she slapped Su Mian two more times. Her slaps were so strong that she even felt the pain radiating from her palm. “Do you regret hating him for a lifetime? Hahaha!”

After getting her revenge, her cheerful laughter seemed sinister in the dark.

Loving Wei Zhen Hui had caused her to suffer and filled with hatred. How could she let Su Mian off easily?

Su Mian felt dizzy. Unable to endure anymore, she collapsed to the ground.

Her body was broken to a point she could not stand, but deep down, her emotions were surging.

It seemed Wei Zhen Hui had loved her all his life!

Yet what about her?

She hated and blamed him. All because she loved him. Because she loved him, she was unable to let go of it!

She kept telling herself to forget him, but she couldn’t do so!

She would constantly think about his stern face, his upright posture, and how he would always tenderly call her ‘Xiao Mian’.

For countless lonely nights, she would dream of him.

Those countless fleeting moments when she would remember him.

She had kept her love deep in her heart, thinking that it was only her one sided wishful thought.

Who knew that he felt the same way too, and he loved her deeply.

How did she feel now that she knew?

Su Mian was now experiencing it. Although it was too late, it did not matter.

It was enough to know that he loved her.

Su Mian suddenly smiled. In those 30 years, she had never been so happy. The grief and humiliation that she experienced were what she deserved.

She had to thank Su Hong for telling her the truth.

Su Mian’s smile stunned Su Hong, as if her eyes had been stabbed by a knife. She did not understand why the sl*t was smiling after knowing the truth. Wasn’t she supposed to be crying?

“You sl*t!”

Su Hong stepped on Su Mian’s back, “I’ll make you smile!” With that, she stomped her foot heavily.

The pain from her back made Su Mian cough out black blood.

Su Hong gave a look and finally understood, “Seems the poison has finally started to flare up? How does it feel to suffer from the putrefying poison I gave you?”

“Putrefying Poison?” This was the first time Su Mian heard of its name.

“It’s a slow-acting poison that I developed just for you. It’s colorless and odorless.”

“From the moment you were imprisoned, I had someone add it into your meals everyday.”

“There are no symptoms at first, but as the poison accumulates, the stronger it becomes when it flares up.”

“The pain would be like suffering from thousands of cuts, a cut by a cut, and it hurts even more by every cut. I’m sure it feels unpleasant!” Su Hong stomped on Su Mian’s back again, causing her to spit out another mouthful of blood.
