Chapter 48 – I Break This Order

Rebel Heart, the last of the orcs lining up at the head of the food cauldron, turned to the two of them and spoke!

“We’ll wait a bit, but the turn will come soon.”

Alyon, who fell into a great pessimism after what he heard and saw throughout the day, smiled with pleasure after this behavior. Even if he was the group leader, Rebel Heart was standing at the end of the line waiting for food.

As it was said, soon after it was her turn, Nafız stood motionless, looking at the transparent water pouring into the bone bowl in her hand.

“Come on, my friend. If you got your food, please move on. We are hungry too!”

Looking at the strange thing in her hand, ignoring the grunts of the orcs behind her, Nafız exploded when someone pushed her.

“You call that food you, idiot? Don’t touch me again!”

“I’m sorry, but all we have is this soup. We get it by boiling wild animal bones!”

Rebel Heart was embarrassed after the reaction of his guest and felt the need to make a hasty statement.

“There’s no excuse. I’m sure you’re doing your best.”

With Alyon’s words stroking his back, the community leader, who had released his tension, was standing next to the cauldron with his head forward. Although Nafız had shouted, she understood the situation. Not long ago, they had to fill their stomachs with the leftovers of the refectory.

“The dinner is on me tonight. Let a great fire be lit!”

When Nafız shouted before revealing the creature meats she had stored in her ring, the people around her turned to her in amazement. There were no words to describe the feelings of these people who saw a small hill of meat.

“Eat, drink, sing, and play tonight!”

After Alyon’s cry, the orcs began to light a great fire while the others, whose flesh had caught on, filled the cauldron. Perhaps for the first time since their birth, the community members, who had been fed for the first time, were having fun while Rebel Heart hesitantly asked, “Sir, who are you?”

“You’ll find out soon enough; we’re going to have to stay here for a while. In the meantime, you give us detailed information about the latest situation in the region.”

Alyon, who had been examining the community living in exile during the time needed for the butcher Haydo to send troops to the bridge with the order he received, would personally see the situation in which societies that were not adequately managed could fall.

The orc people were sold into slavery and those who had to lead a miserable life to get out of it. What he saw seemed to herald that Alyon, who had conquered the arid region without shedding much blood, would follow a different path this time.

“Rebel Heart, take a group of warriors with you and follow us!”

When Nafız made a fait accompli address to the community leader, the warriors in the group turned away with a stern look. The orcs, who followed Rebel Heart with a wave of his hand, did not like Nafız even if he provided meat to the community.

Rebel Heart and his warriors crossed the bridge, following Alyon, and Nafız who was walking in front of them. A surprise awaited his group on the opposite bank, with sticks, wild animal bones, and a few axes in their hands. They were calmed by the burly male orc standing next to them but curiously watching the female orc’s progress.

“Greetings to Nafız, the God of Blood!”

The group’s knees that had just crossed the bridge came loose as the orcs clapped their hands on their chests and yelled out. A vast contingent stood with their heads down before the orc, whom they were staring at with anger and hatred.

“Do not be afraid. You are now our friend!”

As Alyon finished her words, Kuyag also had hurried and bent down to greet her.

“Big Chief Alyon, at your command, my unit and I have taken control of the entrance to the bridge. He set out on the Wild Wall to wipe out the bandits from our lands.”

The stunned crowd was once again stunned, realizing that the two they had just met were not expected. Listening carefully to the captain’s brief report, Alyon said in a stern voice, “These are our friends who will be your future allies. Accompany them to our tribe and provide all kinds of ammunition support,” he said.

“Yes, sir!”

Kuyag, who respectfully showed the way to the group pointed by his chief, returned to his unit with the guests, while Nafız took a deep breath and came to Alyon.

She couldn’t help but speak when she saw that her friend, who was leaning on the small hill, had a troubled expression.

“What should we do after what we heard?”

As soon as his friend finished speaking, Alyon shook his fist and smashed the hill he was leaning against. He shouted the answer in his mind without waiting for the rocks scattered around from the force of the blow to fall to the ground.

“I’ll break this game, friend!”

When the surrounding orcs were horrified by Chief Alyon’s fury, Nafız burst into laughter.

“Finally, it looks like I’m going to start doing my name right!”

Nafız, who suppressed the violent impulses that had grown in her mainly due to her friend’s interference, was already covered with blood. The orcs, whose two commanders were eager for battle, also clung to their weapons a little tighter.

Rebel Heart and his crew, who completed their journey in a short time with a supply-type combat vehicle, were like cats that had spilled milk when they returned. Although they had been in the tribe for a short time, they had the opportunity to learn all that was going on from the warriors of the core tribe.

Especially after they learned that the Nikonian army had been defeated and captured in battle, they were now looking at the two orcas they had previously been suspicious of as saviors.

“Rebel Heart, it’s time for us to return. Let’s take the first step to liberate the region!”

Chief Alyon’s words made the long-exiled orcs unable to take a step, but it didn’t seem like it would last long.

“Raise your butts, timid gazelles. Otherwise, I will throw you down one by one!”

Nafız was slowly entering the slaughter mode. She had neither the time nor the patience for such sad acts. The sight of orcs rushing towards the bridge caused laughter among the tribal warriors standing guard, but the voices were cut like knives by the side glance of their commander.

The amount of ammunition taken from the tribe was loaded, and Rebel Heart did not have enough warriors to carry it. Some of the orcs who had besieged the bridge were helping the group. As the fully equipped warriors marching ahead of the party came into sight of the orcs on the other side, there was a stir in the crowd.

“Run! The warriors on the other side of the bridge are coming!”

The exile community had fallen into disarray. Rebel Heart shouted as the orcs fled in panic.

“Wait, don’t be afraid!”

Hearing the voice of their leader, the crowd suddenly stopped running and turned towards the bridge. Indeed, it was Rebel Heart and his warriors, but who were the others with them?

“Rebel Heart, I have a proposition for you!”

Alyon observed the mood of the orcs and thought it was time to reconsider a decision he had made earlier.

“My goal is to unite the Orc Steppes and restore their sons to their former glory. To this end, I will need brave and honest orcs like you.”

While the conversation was going on, Nafız joined the duo and started to listen to what was said by placing her hand on Rebel Heart’s shoulder.

“Once you have captured your territory, you and your friends will be free to join us or start your tribe. What do you say?”

As he led a community that was fed up with living on the run, it was only natural that Rebel Heart would hesitate to trust two orcs he had just met. Nafız began to speak by understanding this concern of the orc under her arm.

“I’m assuming you heard some things on your short trip to our tribe, but trust me, those stories will be unspoken compared to what we’re going to do in this region!”
