AT THE BREAKFAST TABLE:
“Mom hurry up, please.” Bella yelled.
“Okay, I’m sorry.” Last thing she wanted was to argue with her beloved mom before going on such a dangerous mission.
After having been served the breakfast, Belle was quite nervous. She knew, every now and then, she became serious and told her mom that she loves her, and her mom always questioned her, because only on some specific days, Bella would become more like nervous and be clingy.
“Mom, you know that I love you more than Dad, don’t you?” She asked with a smile.
“Of course, my baby. That devil is always busy in his work. Who have you got other than me?” Her mom said giving her a wink.
“Did anyone remember me?” Her dad and Ian walked in.
Her Dad placed a kiss on her head, “Morning sweetheart,” and he walked across the table while Ian took a seat on her right.
“Dad, morning. Where Noah? Isn’t he joining us?” Bella asked and there he was.
“Hello, ladies and gentlemen.” Her brother walked in from the front door.
“Noah, there you are. I missed you. Where have you been?” Bella got up to give her brother a hug.
“Oh, darling, a bit busier than ever. You know. I missed you two devils as well.” Noah said hugging her and patting Ian on his back and sat on Bella’s left.
“Alright guys, wish me luck. I am very nervous. I just to get done with this mission, oh sorry, this interview. It’s like a mission impossible for me. I hope I pass this one, or else am sitting jobless.” Bella said with a faint smile and a nervous laugh.
“You will do well, love, best luck.” Her father and mother wished her.
“Don’t worry. Even if you sit jobless, I will gladly look after you. But be careful and don’t hurt yourself.” Noah said kissing her head sideways.
“Yeah, if it doesn’t go well, then just give me a call. I will be around. I will pick you up and then we can go eat your favourite ice cream.” Ian told her.
“Cool, see. This is why I tell my friends, that I have the best parents, and best brothers in this world. I love you all. You know that.” Bella said and then left with Ian following her.
Noah’s eyes followed her till she was out of sight. He knew where she was going. And how dangerous it was. And even though his heart was trembling, he still faked a smile in front of his parents who were unaware of where their baby girl was actually going.
As decided, Adrian along with his friend, Ashley and his assistant, Klaus had arrived at the airport in their private jet.
Meanwhile, Ian was out waiting for his friend to give the emblem to him personally. Ian and Klaus had been best friends for years now. And there was a reason why they got so close. (But that’s a story for next time lol).
As the trio got down, Ian started walking towards them, but someone unable to resist ran towards Ian engulfing him in a hug.
“Ian, oh my, we’re finally meeting. How have you been?” Klaus couldn’t hide his excitement and same was for Ian.
“K, I still don’t believe I am seeing you like this. I’m fine dude, glad you are well yourself.” Ian said hugging him more tight.
After a minute or so, they both let go and then Ian handed over the emblem to Klaus. He took it and looked over his shoulder for the two standing behind.
“I have prepared a car for you. And don’t worry, he is my personal driver and bodyguard. He will make sure all goes well while you’re here.” Ian told Klaus and the later nodded.
“Umm, Ian. Actually, Adrian wants to talk you about something.” Klaus said scratching his neck.
“Okay, let’s go.” Ian said and as soon as Ian stepped ahead, all of Ian’s men got their guns out pointing towards Adrian and Ashley.
Ian saw Adrian pushing Ashley back and standing in front of him so he turned back. He was taken aback by the scene. He quickly pushed Klaus behind him and then pinched the bridge of his nose.
“The f*ck are you guys doing??” He yelled at the top of his lungs.
“Drop them, Now!!!!!” And all of them quickly dropped their guns low.
“Ten steps back. Move. Now!!!” And as ordered his men moved ten steps back after hesitating a bit.
“I’m sorry about that. You must be shocked.” Ian said and hugged his friend side ways and Klaus just shook his head with a smile.
They walked towards Adrian and then stopped in front of him.
“Boss, are these the people?” Ian’s bodyguard asked and Ian nodded.
“Joshua, get their stuff and make sure they’re safe and unhurt while they’re here. You will only follow his orders until he leave LA.” Ian said pointing to Adrian.
“Got it, Boss. I will. Umm, can I get your stuff up there in the car??” Joshua asked looking at Adrian who nodded and then he left.
“So, nice to meet you Adrian. Long time huh?” Ian said raising his hand for a handshake and Adrian took it.
“You were a kid when I saw you last. M glad you grew up well. But, you seem to have special bond with my assistant here.” Adrian said his voice laced with sarcassam.
“Yeah, he’s my best friend, which gives you the advantage of being able to step into LA and being free to do anything. Just because I want him safe.” Ian replied and Adrian smiled.
“My father is happy that somebody is taking an initiative to get the Wolverine Gang. We have our feuds with them as well so if you need weapons, manpower or anything, my father is more than happy to back you up as long as you ask. He asked me to convey this to you.” Ian and Adrian nodded.
“Thank Arthur for me. I always knew he’s a sensible man ever since he took down the previous tyrant. Yeah and thank You for being a good friend to Klaus. Ah, also for letting me have your personal driver and bodyguard too.” Adrian said with a smile.
“Adrian, you might not know this, but I’m nothing like my father. And so are my men. Joshua is trained for everything. There will be times when he will ask you to back up and without questioning you will have to back up. If you insist, he won’t be responsible for even saving your ass.
He will follow all your orders, but by making sure, following them won’t hurt either of you. That is why he has been my only bodyguard and driver for last 6 years.” Ian told Adrian and then walked away before briefly hugging Klaus and then Joshua who was waiting at the car.
“Keep them safe, Joshua. Especially my friend, Klaus.” Ian told him and left.
“He will be a difficult opponent, I guess.” Adrian said and Klaus laughed.
“He’s crazy, but not difficult. Difficult is his brother, Noah.” He told him and then all left for their hotel.
