St. Louis – City in Missouri, hometown of Jack Garner.
Krio-Liocei – A kriojjin (Gireidil residential fortress) in the Liocei Highlands, and the peninsula of Liocethim, on Chald
Parha – A city on the world of Trin with a significance similar to Rome, except that it continues to hold its dominant position. Its position is near the mouth of the Grandwater, the river on Trin that is cognate to the Mississipi. Although it is farther East, it could be considered a cognate of New Orleans. Rogan and Nam’s adopted home.
The Dominion of Parha – The remains of the empire built by the Old Parhans, the original inhabitants of the now-multi-cultural city. It is governed as a federation rather than centrally controlled. The Dominion has members and territories on eleven worlds and autonomous associates (former Imperial possessions) on eighteen more.
Chald – The former home of the Gireidil race. They were driven entirely out of that world in a low point of a war that they subsequently won, but they are scattered in multiple places now. It is ‘destroyed’, but habitable, albeit still populated by the ‘warbeasts’ that were a major weapon of the war, and which are rendering Chald still an unsafe place to live.
The Multiworld – All the worlds that are co-located with Earth, on the various ‘levels’ of existence. Levels are like frequencies, except having three degrees of variation, resulting in tens or possibly hundreds of thousands of worlds all existing in the same position. The entire universe is the same, so there are equally many Moons, Suns, other planets, other stars etc. They are not precisely identical, however. For example, Chald has two continents in the place of North America, a larger one to the west of the ‘Mississipi basin’ and a smaller one to the east. The Mississipi, Great Lakes, Hudson Bay and St. Lawrence are instead a massive inland sea (the cognate to Quebec is a larger island)
Aum – A city on the inland seacoast, on the peninsula called Liocethim of the main northern continent of Chald’s western hemisphere. Formerly significant as a hub of interworld commerce. Cognate Location is in Southern Illinois.
Mawadim – Another location on Chald, mentioned but not yet clearly described.
Alyrhia – A location on Trin, mentioned but not yet clearly described. Nam’s home as a refugee after the evacuation of Chald.
Surian – The lesser northern continent of Chald’s western hemisphere. Cognate to the Appalachian Mountains and surrounds.
Utsuirin – A world briefly mentioned, not yet described.
Tasuith – Another world briefly mentioned. Apparently a source of weapons, ‘flyers’ which resemble boats, and other military equipment.
Liocei Highlands – The hill country in the interior of Liocethim. Cognate location to Earth’s St. Louis.
Liocethim – A peninsula on the eastern (inland) seacoast of the main northern continent of the western hemisphere of Chald.
Fentanmei – An island south of the southern seacoast of Surian. Its cognate location on Earth is in the middle of Alabama.
Nurinie – the location of a Gireidil enclave, the last significantly occupied human habitation on Chald.
Orosjo – (adjective form “Orosjoese”) A commonwealth kingdom associated with Parha, on the world of Canteree.
Cantaree – (adjective form “Canterene”) Another world, formerly colonized by Parha, now independent, but with several nations remaining in a commonwealth association with the Dominion.
Kelsie Provinces – The three provinces dominated by descendants of Celtic peoples. The word “Kelsie” is probably related to the ancient Greek term ‘Keltoi’, for relatives of the Gauls living near Greece. The Northern and Southern Sassenach provinces speak dialects of English (and are dominated by descendants of Lowland Scots) while the Gaelig speak a dialect of Gaelic and have significant Irish descent. The remainder of their ancestry is other immigrants, going all the way back to the Keltoi, but due to the surge of immigrants during the Potato Famine and the Lowland Clearances, the language has become dominated by these groups.
Capital Region – The area around the city of Parha. Has no majority language, but the most dominant one is now Anglic-dialect English.
Colonia – A province dominated by Iberian and French immigrants
Ezo – A province dominated by Japanese immigrants.
Han Provinces – A region dominated by Chinese immigrants
Samhralin – A place mentioned, not yet described.
Gosgun – The undescribed location of the Aum stage on Cantaree.
Thantasjein – The grasslands territory containing Gosgun.
Ban – The capital city of Orosjo
Grandwater – the English name of the Mississippi river analog on Trin.
