Zombies POV 2

Time didn’t pass fast inside the bus. Smell of people’s sweat and breathing was making Roderick wanting to throw up. He did not get any relief when he found out that the bus was going to stop in a camp only in night.
It was just morning.
I should take myself to a small trouble and let anyone help me. Roderick smirked. The helper will tell me to do an easy task and WHAM!
The bus stopped abruptly. Passengers flew towards driver seat because of the force.
“What happened?” Roderick screamed as he bumped his head on seat ahead of him.
He stretched his neck to see in what had stopped the bus.
There was a broken tree in the middle of their way.
“Strong men come out. We have to remove this tree.” Driver said, and many men went out of there to test their strength against the big tree.
A while later, they moved it a few feet but still it was not enough to let the bus pass.
“Zombies!” he heard women scream.
A bunch of zombies jumped down from trees towards those men wrestling tree. Zombies were way faster than them.
Panicked people inside the bus jumped out of there from windows, but they couldn’t do it for much long. Somehow Roderick managed to shove some zombies on his way and sprinted out of the bus.
As he landed, he saw a zombie taking a big bite from one man’s neck. Roderick kicked the zombie’s head off its shoulder.
After realizing the man was still alive, he put him on his shoulder and began running towards the forest. He let menace happen behind him.
Exhaustion caught Roderick in a while. He fell on mud and so did the man he had been carrying with him. The man was still bleeding. He had to do something to stop his blood leak, so Roderick tore his sleeves and tied it on his neck.
He had to be careful while doing so because he didn’t want him to strangle his wind out. It worked and blood flow came under control.
Roderick wiped sweat from his forehead by the bottom of his shirt. Doing so let the injured man have a look at Roderick’s abdominal wound.
“Zombie!” the man crawled back.
“It is just a big wound. I am not a zombie.” Roderick touched the wound.
But the injured guy had already reached for his gun. Roderick did not enjoy being put at gunpoint.
“You have got bigger injury than mine. You should be calling yourself a zom-“
Injured guy fired. Roderick moved aside in time before the bullet could touch him. Both of them heard tramps following the gunshot. He dropped the gun and joined his palms together.
“Don’t apologize. I know you were panicked.” Roderick said.
Soon he noticed he was not apologizing but was praying as hundreds of zombies arrived there within seconds. Now Roderick was surrounded by zombies from every direction.
