Summoned Heroes II

Following the maids, the students walked through the long fancy hallways with curious glances occasionally thrown here and there. The maids especially, the glances toward them last the longest. As someone in their puberty, it is completely understandable for the students to fall head over heels for the maids. After all, they are undoubtedly beautiful young ladies in maid outfits. A beauty real life maid! A beauty real life maid! Because it’s important it has to be said twice!

How they wished this moment would last a bit longer, but unfortunately, they have arrived at their destination. It was a great dining hall with few long tables and seats more than enough for the students to sit. Meanwhile, the moment they arrived, the small group of maids quickly excused themselves as another group of maids appeared with trays filled with food in their hands.

While the students were discussing the situation among themselves, Enryu was seated next to Ayumi, his little sister. Though his expression appeared calm on the surface, his eyes were darting around the place with caution.

Upon being summoned to the new world, the first thing he did was to hug his little sister tightly and secure in his embrace. While the students were panicking, he was secretly observing the surrounding people. It was then that he felt something was amiss, however, he couldn’t pinpoint exactly where the feeling came from.

Ever since childhood, his instinct had never been wrong. No matter what the occasion, it always hit right on the mark. Just as he did many other times in the past, he trusts his instinct and stays on his guard all the time until he is out of the throne room. No, even now he remains cautious of his surroundings.

As for Ayumi, she had always trusted her reliable elder brother. Though she also panicked just like her classmates for a moment, it all vanished the moment she was engulfed in her brother’s warm hug. She couldn’t lie but she always feels safe around him. Even if the world is ending, she couldn’t care less about it as long as her brother is around. After all, she completely trusted him.

When the King said that we were summoned as heroes, Enryu truly believed his words. It is strange to admit, but he indeed felt his body suddenly became stronger than he was back on earth. It was as if the power that was once sealed had been unleashed, that was the feeling he had. It’s embarrassing if he were to say out loud, but this is just his thought so it didn’t matter much.

Admittedly, he does dream this kind of event happening to him once in a while despite being a full-grown adult. After all, it has been trending for a while now, the novel about the whole another world summoning. Yes, exactly what he is experiencing at the moment. However, believing and trusting are two different things.

Just as he was deep in thought, he was brought back to reality when he heard clamours from the students. When he raised his eyes to look at the cause, he was stunned speechless at the discovery. When her presence intrudes in the dining hall, all the servants in the room immediately on their knees while their heads bow down to her in respect the moment their caught glimpse of her figure at the corner of their eyes. That was all Enryu needed to confirm his guess of her identity; she’s a bona fide princess, through and through.

While the students were stunned at the sudden appearance of a real life princess, the latter smiles at their antics before saying, “Good day to you, Heroes. I’m Silica Kingson, the First Princess of Xhataso Kingdom.” She ended her introduction with an elegant bow that one would expect from a princess. Heck, if this had been in fiction, there would have sparkles around here.

As he expected, the students immediately erupted into cheers. She is indeed beautiful, more so than most idols in a modern world. However, just like her father, the King, though her appearance appeared completely meek and docile, he couldn’t let his guard down around her as his instinct told him otherwise.

Without wasting any time, Isamu quickly introduced himself right after, prompting the other students to do the same. When it came to Enryu turn, he did a simple introduction before minding his own business, ignoring the princess completely. A brow was raised at his uninterested response toward her, however, she decided to put the matter aside before answering the greeting from the passionate group of students.

“As you have already known, you were all summoned to this world as Heroes, the one chosen by God. But before I explain further, let me tell you about this world and its history.” The princess paused for a moment before continuing.

“This world is called Endus, governed by many Gods, an actual God that people worship for. In your previous world, the only intelligent race is human right? That’s not the case over here. Including humans, we have four known races in total, that is Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Werebeast.”

“Elf?! You mean the race where everyone owned excellent looks as if they were blessed by God, that mythical race actually exists?!” A student couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise at the mention of a mystical race known only to exist in fictional stories.

“Yes, the real living one. They aren’t just blessed with astounding looks however, other than knowing as freak loving nature, they were also more knowledgeable in magical research than the other four races. Among the four races, they are the highest known to produce many excellent Magus. They live at the deepest part of the forest centered around a particular huge tree, Yggdrasil. It’s the tallest tree known in this world. Plus, there’s rumors going around that if one climbed to the highest point of the tree, they could meet their Goddess, Goddess of Fertility,” The princess smiles as she said.

‘Hmm, interesting. It would be nice if I could watch the tree that has the same name as the world tree in fiction stories with Ayumi,’ Enryu secretly thought while wondering how huge and tall the said tree really is. It should be tall enough that it pierce the cloud right? Since it might be a forbidden zone exclusively to elves, he should look at it from afar if he ever has the chance. He couldn’t help but get a bit restless at the thought of what kind of reactions his sister will show him when she saw the legendary world tree with her own two eyes.

“Dwarves, a race known for their small height and expertise in blacksmith. Unlike the elves, the dwarf race rely more on their advanced weaponry than magic. Most importantly, they look down on magic, which was why they didn’t get along well with elves. So if you’re aiming to be a Magus, make sure you’re ten thousands feet away from them or be prepared to get chewed by them.”

“Lastly, Werebeast. They have almost the same physique as humans if not for the fact that there’s animal traits above their head and below their pelvis bone. They were known as great hunters as once they memorize your smell, even if you run to the other side of the world, they can still track you down. Of course it won’t matter much if you don’t get on their bad side. Also as to be expected, they worship God of Hunt.”
