KMega sighed, watching Kieser. Astrid had a body IRL, so he would not lose her. As Kieser kneeled there on his hands and knees, his demon armor disintegrated, removing the power and control of the demons held over him as well as the influence of other humans. As Kieser was stripped, the ‘shamble knight’ armor set KMega dropped turned a gold hue. In addition, a golden sword, shield, and greatsword materialized as well. KMega recollected seeing the set somewhere before but did not care enough to recall where. Instead, he watched Keiser don the new equipment and take all KMega’s other possessions, including the greatsword Astrid had made for him. Except the powerful weapon lacked the penalties that none but KMega and Astrid could resist.
When Kieser recovered, he stood with his sword drawn and shield buckled as he stared at the blocked exit where the roof had caved in. With a yell and a slash downward, he used his powerstrike to force an opening out. Because the building was important to the command structure of the city, it was given priority by search and rescue teams. All the peacekeepers and soldiers of the empire, however, were struck dumb upon seeing a gold-wearing knight appear.
