At the waiting area, Hao Ming was holding popcorn and drinks. Many girls stared at him. Hao Ming had a boyfriend look, and not surprising that he attracted female attention. After few minutes, Xiao Tong reached and waved at him.
Hao Ming smiled and said, “Let’s go in. The movie will start in few minutes.”
“Big brother, many people stared at us.” Asked Xiao Tong.
Xiao Tong was wondering if she dressed weirdly tonight or did she has anything on her face. Xiao Tong preferred a comfortable outfit. Hence, she wore a dress and flat shoes. Xiao Tong had fair skin, with a white dress, making Xiao Tong more bright and cheerful.
“It’s nothing. You look cute today. Let’s go,” Said Hao Ming.
Xiao Tong blushed and asked, “What movie are we watching tonight?”
“It’s a horror movie.” Said Hao Ming.
Xiao Tong was surprised. “Big brother, do you like watching a horror movie? Don’t you scare?”
“I’ve no issue watching a horror movie, not scared at all.” Answered Hao Ming.
Hao Ming squinted his eyes and asked, “Are you scared?”
Xiao Tong was speechless. She had never watched a movie before!
Before Xiao Tong could respond, Hao Ming said, “Don’t worry, if you are scared, just close your eyes.”
Xiao Tong gulped. How severe was the horror movie? Terrible? Disgusting? Or horrible?
Soon after they found the seats, the movie started.
Xiao Tong was amazed. The screen was huge. Luckily their seat not at the front row, or else she will need to look up. Her neck would be sore. The sound system was loud and clear.
When the movie reached the climax, Xiao Tong closed her eyes halfway with her small chubby hand. She wanted to watch it but was too horrified to watch. Hao Ming chuckled when he saw her actions. Then, suddenly, there was a screaming sound. Both of them were startled and looked at each other. A second later, both of them laughed at their silliness. It turns out Hao Ming not really brave after all.
After the movie ended, Hao Ming sent Xiao Tong home. When they reached Xiao Tong’s home entrance, Xiao Tong took out a small gift box and gave it to Hao Ming.
“Big brother, open it when you reached home. It’s a small token of gratitude for teaching me.” Said Xiao Tong sincerely.
Under the bright moon, Xiao Tong’s eyes were sparkling, clear, and pure. She looked pure and sincere.
Hao Ming never met this kind of girl before. His heart skipped a beat. Even though many girls gave gifts to Hao Ming, his heart never wavered before. However, this time was different.
“See you at school. Goodnight.” Said Hao Ming.
“Goodnight.” Said Xiao Tong and walking into the house.
On his way home, Hao Ming thought he needs to resort to his mind before deciding. Before this, Hao Ming didn’t have any relation with Xiao Tong. They are strangers. Then afterward, he became a mentor to Xiao Tong, and now she called Hao Ming a big brother. To be honest, he was delighted when Xiao Tong called him big brother. Last time, he wasn’t sure why he felt so. Now, he understood why his heartbeat was racing when Xiao Tong was smiling.
