The four of them bump into each other.
Zhuang Na Nai’s heart feels tight as she turns to look at Si Jing Yu.
She wonders how this so-called brother in law of her feels, now that they have caught him red-handed with his mistress.
Zhuang Nai Nai stands up straight. Even though she is not very familiar with Si Jing Yu, she is still considered as Si Jing Yu’s family.
Si Jing Yu’s eyes shrink as she pauses in her steps. Panic can be seen in her eyes before it quickly disappears as she regains her composure. She continues talking to Zhuang Nai Nai, “I used to love coming to this place. I would go here whenever I go to work in Di Hao. Their signature dishes are their griddle frog and duck’s blood in chilli sauce.”
Si Jing Yu is acting as though she hasn’t seen them, causing Zhuang Nai Nai who has been ready to fight to become stunned.
She frowns. By then, Shi Jin Yan and that woman have reached them.
Shi Jin Yan looks like he did not expect to meet them here. He stops in his steps as he frowns, subconsciously turning to look at his female companion. He purses his lips, as though he wants to say something, but Si Jing Yu adamantly avoids eye contact as she continues chatting with Zhuang Nai Nai, effectively cutting him off.
As Si Jing Yu drags Zhuang Nai Nai with her, Shi Jin Yan stands in front of them, his eyes trained on Si Jing Yu while his mouth moves, as though he wants to say something.
Si Jing Yu smiles at him, “Sir, do you mind stepping away? You are blocking the way.”
Sir?
Shi Jin Yan’s eyes become sharp as anger rises in his heart.
Si Jing Yu moves her body sideways, planning to go pass them in that manner.
Shi Jin Yan purses his lips, not saying a single word. A look of longing flits through his eyes.
Just as Shi Jin Yan and Si Jing Yu plans to pretend to not know each other, the woman with Shi Jin Yan speaks up, “Miss Si.”
When that woman spoke up, Zhuang Nai Nai can feel Si Jing Yu turning rigid. She stops in her spot.
Zhuang Nai Nai frowns.
The legal wife is going to ignore them, why did the mistress speaks up?
She turns around and sees that woman walking towards them.
That woman takes care of herself well. She is wearing a white dress, paired with a large black belt, showing off her slender waist. She stops in front of Si Jing Yu. They look at each other for a moment before that woman outstretch her hand, “It has been a long time, Miss Si, I almost did not recognize you. I am Bai Yue. I came back half a year ago and is now working at Jin Yan’s company.”
Zhuang Nai Nai’s hand is suddenly gripped tight. Although Si Jing Yu does not appear to be bothered in her expression, she is currently, and perhaps unknowingly, gripping Zhuang Nai Nai’s hand like her life depends on it.
Si Jing Yu is quiet for a moment before saying, “I know. I still have things to attend to, excuse me.”
And then, she drags Zhuang Nai Nai away.
After their silhouttes disappear from view, Bai Yue turns to Shi Jin Yan, smiling, “What is she afraid of?”
Shi Jin Yan who has been watching Si Jing Yu’s retreating back immediately glances at her sharply when she says that. His eyes are deep and unfathomable. It will make people’s heart race in worry without even knowing why. Then, he walks off with large strides.
