Chapter 46- New Companion

As the events of the tournament ended, Eastguard entered a state of temporary Meritocracy, or rulers being chosen by their ability. In essence, every town leader and business owner came together and started to form a plan amongst themselves of what needed to be done.

In truth, this would have normally turned into a state of lawlessness if one common factor didn’t tie them all together.

From the war, there came a legendary hero who dove head first with only his most trusted companions to rescue the people of Eastguard. Not all the slaves that KMega6KMegacharacter freed managed to arrive in Eastguard, but the majority of them had. They knew that he could have ensured their arrival, but they understood that just getting the chance was enough. These npc’s lived all around the wartorn nation, spreading his legend.

While this was occurring, KMega took a day off from playing the game because he had IRL issues to deal with; go to the gym, buy food, and look up the latest planned releases for upcoming games. At this point. he had to give up on Kieser. He decided to focus on training and building up his character until war breaks out again with the empire. The whole ordeal was stressful on the youth, so he wished to take a vacation.

Ten days had passed in game between the tournament and KMega joining again. Other than a minor patch release, he didn’t miss anything because no windows appeared when he logged on. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a slightly familiar room with Astrid7Astridcharacter snuggled right up next to him. Her petite, A cup bosom was wrapped around his arm and her leg hooked was over his own at their knees. She was also in her underwear, causing him to be blush for a moment.

With so much happening, he really never saw Astrid as a woman until now. Her eyes then slowly opened before smiling happily after seeing him and climbing on top to give him a hug. It wasn’t until after they separated did he realize that her lips were on his, causing him to instinctively push forward. Their kiss lasted much longer than the first, and when it was over, she started hugging him again. KMega figured that him being gone for so long worried her.

A cough then suddenly interrupted their reunion, and when they turned towards the culprit, they saw Yirk blushing a little since they didn’t notice him in the room when they were acting all lovey dovey. He had only entered the room to set out some food for Astrid, so it was understandable that he was there. He then let them have their moment and coughed before they got too serious and got down to business.

“KMega, I treat you like an adopted child and part of my family. You also have my undying gratitude for everything you’ve done for me and Kieser.” (Yirk)

[The npc Yirk wishes to continue his journey with you no matter where you go.

Make Yirk into a companion? Yes/No]

This decision was something KMega seriously had to think abou since the companion patch only came out several weeks ago. The patch update that lets companions be transferred between games was finally schedule to be released. As a beta tester, KMega should be quitting the game to move on to the next, and he would have to if he liked the old style world war games with firearms and vehicles. If it was a modern day space pirate game he might indulge, but otherwise, he liked the medieval feel of his games. He was only one of a few beta testers to have encountered the second companion scenario.

In truth, this was an expected development, but an oversight caused a whole different problem later down the line. A problem a streamer2streamerstory mechanic with very good Karma has to fix…
